FINALS ARE OVER!

and i couldn't be happier.

:)

Wow...dude fo shizzle...

I honestly had no idea I hadn’t updated in so long...Things have been busy (as always).

School is fantastic; classes are winding down and finals are just around the corner.

Work is...haha...interesting. There is always something new to *cough cough* experience, whether it be an angry customer or surprise desserts in the break room. Kyle is working in housewares now, which is nice. He gave me his Amp last night, which made my evening since Jason and I pulled out of the parking lot at FOUR AM. Holiday hours and 8 am classes do not work in my favor.

Other than that, I'm not doing too much else. Jen was in town for Thanksgiving, so she, Chad, Colin, and I hung out for a while. It was nice to get away from the daily grind for a bit. The family was in town for the holidays, as well. It was wonderful to see them.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season and looking forward to Christmas as much as I am (gotta love a grandmother's cooking)!

Whew...time flies by...

Life seems vastly different since the last time I posted. I start MTSU tomorrow; you have no idea how thrilled I am. A friend has shown me around campus, so hopefully I’ll be able to find my way (at least) to where I need to be...haha.

We went canoeing yesterday! Katie and I were together, and we had the greatest time! There were about forty people that went. Beej got a kayak; I think I might like to try that sometime. Ethan (who, btw, wore a hilarious hat) kept saying how he was going to reach the end first, but he and Matt were no match for our Canoe of Magnificence. We stopped at all the regular places: rope swing, the rock, float place...Uncle Chris picked up Allison, put her over his shoulders, and threw her into the water while the kids were floating. It was hilarious!

Been spending the last week or so busy driving back and forth from Murfreesboro to Hermitage. Chad’s parents got a divorce; Colin and I have been helping them move. I think it will be okay, though. It was a huge shock at first, but we are all slowly adjusting to the new situation. We spend so much time with them, but none of us had any idea it was coming.

I’m so excited that it’s almost time for autumn. I forgot how much there is to do! Spence Cabin is coming up, the plowing match, the trip to Illinois...all need to be planned for soon. Ahhh, I missed that so much while in Florida.....

Well, I’ve got to head out. Kohl’s calls...
Hope you have a wonderful week :)

Journey.....

was basically amazing. After watching Batman Begins, Chad and I ate at Cracker Barrel, and then hit the road towards Nashville. We parked, went in, showed the weird guy our tickets, and headed up to find our seats.

But we totally couldn’t. We switched rows THREE TIMES before we finally found (what we think were) our seats.

Cheap Trick came out first. They were okay. I only recognized a few of their songs; they played the theme from “That 70’s Show” and Surrender, but other than that, they were pretty foreign.

And then (finally) JOURNEY!

They played every song I hoped they would, and more. Faithfully and Don’t Stop Believing were (of course) my favorites, but all of them were very well done. They played two new songs from their Revelations CD; the first one (I think it was called After All These Years) was incredible. Although I love Steve Perry, the new singer is very talented, and it’s hard to tell the difference between new and old. Even the drummer sang one of the songs, and Chad remarked it must be “everyone sing like Steve Perry day.”

We took both videos and pictures. Chad’s videos are better than mine, but I took better pictures than him. See Facebook for my stuff.

We got home earlier than expected, but the ringing in our ears from the uber-huge speakers called for us to cut the night short. I headed home and collapsed on the bed. Pretty sure I dreamed about the concert, too...haha!

Journey was a big part of my "youth." Loved their music (who didn't?) Glad you had an awesome time.
