The movie was great! Well worth staying up late for. And the casting...possibly the best I've ever seen. I will be seeing this one again. We had a group of 10 people and it was just a blast. If you go see Twilight let me know what you think of it.

the_dow_dad: Golfer J.P.Hayes Pays Price For Honesty

"J.P. Hayes may be the most admired rule-breaker in America. Hayes, 43, a middle-of-the-road pro-golfer, realized that he had mistakenly used a non-regulation ball for just two strokes in a PGA Tour qualifying tournament last week in Texas. Since the ball was unapproved for competition, Hayes admitted his mistake -- and was disqualified.'I violated a rule and I had to take my medicine,' Hayes said. But Hayes didn't really have to turn himself in. No one filmed it. No one else saw it and no one would ever have known about the two shots with a prototype golf ball.'No one would have known, but I knew," he said. 'And I have some people looking down on me that would have known, so that was the decision I had to make.'Character, they say is what you do when no one is watching. ...In a world where NASCAR drivers say, 'If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying," baseball players take illegal steroids to enhance their performance and coaches make illegal films of hei...

rejoiceevermore: "Be Still, and know that I am God."

Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God." There are times in this life when you look at that verse and realize that "being still" is difficult. We look at the craziness around us, and get caught up in the trials of this world and forget to "be still", and forget to "know that I am God". I know I have. Things have really been crazy lately, and as a result, I've been "crazed"!! But, taking the time to stop, and be still, and reflect, and know that our God is in control, really helps. It helps us to remember that this life is only temporary; that the struggles in this life should remind us of what a better place we have waiting for us; that we should never become complacent. So, if you read this, stop for a moment and "be still". Remember that He is God and He can do all things....even more than we can imagine.

Soooo tonight I got inducted into Phi Kappa Phi. It was nice, though the best part was getting to see my family. I miss them so much when I'm here in Florence...but then when I go home for more than two or three days, I get stir-crazy! Weird how that works. After finishing some very stressful projects today, I am super glad to be able to chill out for a while before exams and stuff. I had a 15 page research paper that's due tomorrow...I finished it...though it wasn't my best work, let me be the first to say. The topic was ancient Egyptian theatrical practices, and let me tell you...ancient Egypt didn't exactly have a theatre, which proved to be quite a challenging research project! Well, even if I completely fail my paper, I know that I did the best that I could with what I had and the time I had to do it in. I've been journaling more...it's so annoying and yet so helpful at the same time. I think I should start doing it a little bit every day before I go to bed. It's very re...
