Guns and Roses, though not as I used to know them, are back! The only original members are Axl Rose and Dizzy Reed. I suppose Slash is still making music with Red Velvet Revolver, but I don't know that for sure. Anyway they have a new album coming out on Nov. 23 entitled Chinese Democracy. I think that I will purchase it along with the new Metallica album I keep hearing good things about. So you are saying to yourself who really cares about Guns and Roses. Well if you like Dr Pepper then on the day of the release head over to their website and register to receive a free 20 oz!Go Rays! Also on October 28th between 2 and 6pm head down to your local Taco Bell to receive a free taco. I am glad it's Friday. We bought a Dyson vacuum. That is all I got for now.Take care all and God Bless.brett

Yesterday, the 19th, marks 1 year since I met the girl of my dreams. I never would have thought we would be where we are today but I am glad we are. It's crazy how life brings you from one point to another in the blink of an eye. But when you pray and trust in God to help you find someone then I guess it doesn't really seem that crazy after all.We went to the Southern Flyer to eat on Saturday night to celebrate the place where we first met. If you remember my post about our engagement then you will also remember me talking about the super sweet tea. Well in one year nothing has changed! We each finished off dinner with a chocolate milkshake...Blue Bell of course.Well in conclusion I will say that this past year has been the best of my life and I am so glad that I met Alisha. She is the best thing to ever happen to me! We both are looking forward to seeing what our future has in store for us.Take care all and God Bless.brett

Shampoo and rearranging

The carpets look very nice and feel so soft now! I've decided we need to do this every six months. It really was easy and quite fun. I guess it helps that the apartment complex owns a cleaner and all we have to do is walk down and grab it. We also rearranged our bedroom. That was fun! We have yet to purchase a new vacuum, but maybe we can do that this coming weekend.I have to give many props to my wife for cleaning the entire house while I shampooed (that word looks funny). She said that I had the hard part but I say she is wrong. She did all the hard work to make the house so very clean! Incase you didn't know she is the most amazing woman ever!Baseball update...too early to tell. Go Phils/Rays.Politic update...I just read that Obama is for abortion so that rules him out in my book. I also just read that both candidates support gay marriage. That now rules out the other. If this info, credited to yahoo, is wrong then please let me know. We need a good candidate who...

Something has gone terribly wrong with me.I found myself rooting that Brad Lidge would get everyone out. I thought I didn't like Brad Lidge. Funny how things change when Manny is on the other side.I have never said that I followed or new a lot about polictics but what is going on right now with our country does not look good. The Dow Jones has gotten really low and gas prices (I am not complaining) have dropped big time. Anyone want to fill me in on what is going on and what I can expect in the next months/years to come?We are still undecided on a vacuum cleaner. I have a few to choose from thanks to some people who told me their success stories! That should be enough for now.Take care all and God Bless.brett

The Cubs are out so I have to now root for another team. I shall double root for the Phillies and the Rays. They must do whatever it takes to keep Manny and past Manny tainted teams away from the W.S.In other news I have become really addicted to playing Mafia Wars on myspace. It's a great way to kill time during the work day. If you play then let me know so we can add each other. The lovely wife and I will be shampooing the carpet this weekend and I must say I am excited to do this! I like clean carpet! I think then we might have to buy ourselves a new vacuum cleaner. Does anyone know why the Dyson cleaners are so expensive? Are they worth it? They do look really cool.I desperately need to update the last names of many of my friends. So many have gotten married over the past couple years and I am behind.I love her!!!Take care all and God Bless.brett

Even though I don't live there anymore it still hits close to home. Here are a few pictures that I have found that are from around the Beaumont/Port Arthur area.If anyone has gone out to the river with me in the boat you should recognize this. This is the boat launch and it looks to be about 4 foot higher than normal right now. Here is a picture looking West down Hwy. 73 in Port Arthur going to Winnie. This bridge crosses over Taylor's Bayou. Oh and this is before the storm.Surely you can tell the difference now. This I belive is the main intersection in Vidor. Please keep in your prayers all the families many of you know in Orange/Bridge City/Orangefield as they have sustained a ton of damage. I heard that the area was 100% underwater. My parents and family are doing quite well. Dad is working to get ExxonMobil back up and mom has all the family plus others over to stay because they have one of those big natural gas generators to power the whole house. If anyone nee...
