Tired, must sleep sometime! Update about the trip with only highlights mentioned, pictures included, stories to tell (one including a bear) and the miles walked! :) Have a wonderful Lord's day. I will try to get on here Monday to update and catch up on all of you. Don't forget, Saturday is her birthday so if you haven't wish her a happy birthday. My mom's surgery is Tuesday.
Still alive

Well, I have taken a little bit of time away from the computer. I have been contemplating cleaning out my friends list. I want everyone who visits to comment or at least leave me some kind of "sign" so that I don't clear off the ones who read but don't comment normally. This month is such a busy month for us. The girls have some summer camps, family vacation to Gatlinburg with my parents, finally getting those doctor's/dentists appointments in that we need, checking on the house progress (not much real change on the outside), Brian's business trip, time at my parents, preparing for my mom's big surgery (you can read about it on her blog), and trying to keep up with the regular things. So, if you were wondering about me and the family, we are here but busy. Oh, we also got a new couch (sectional) a week or two ago. It was a big challenge. We had to make two trips to get it here and then it was SO hard getting it in the tiny apartment! We had help from a neighbor. ...

WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are wondering, I got a call yesterday from the perk test guy. We met him today at the lot. Yes, that quick, today!! Well, from the title I guess you know what he said. WE CAN BUILD!!! So, now I have already talked to our realtor about closing on the land and then Brian called the builder and left him a message. I am thrilled to say the least! As a side note, my sickie is well. Her fever slowly went to normal yesterday. The times we checked it her temp read as follows, 99.9, 99.7, 99.3, 98.6. It was very strange that it did that but she is fine now. Anyway, I figured I would update with the great news! Have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Recently heard

I was just sitting here watching the news and I heard something. It made me think. Most of us parents know of the Code Adam thing. Well, recently, my family and I were at Wal-Mart shopping. While we were walking down an aisle I thought that I heard an announcement. I tried to listen because for the first time, the announcements were hard to hear. Well, I caught a couple key words, "Code Adam." I poked my husband and told him. My heart was in my throat as I look at my girls all right by us and just pray that the child is found. We wandered around, with our kids very close until we heard the great news of "Cancel Code Adam!" So, I don't know if the store really locked down. I am glad that it worked or at least the child was found! Hug your kids!

Mystery disease

Is now gone. We got up this morning and she was fever free!!!! We had a busy day otherwise but yes, the mystery will stay that way. Thanks for the concerns. I wasn't really worried because my kids seem to get these mystery illnesses that don't get passed around but just come and go. Now, I must go and pack up everything in sight. Anyone want to do it for me??

My day in a nutshell

2 hours at the Peditrician's office to learn my child is a medical mystery (fever while still on the super strong antibiotics)Quiet lunch at homeNeighbor's dad's memorial while said child is doped up on Motrin (because she acts normal when on Motrin)Staying at the VFW where the memorial was (we all smell)Run through Wendy's drive thru to feed all kids who just ate at the memorialBabysitting my neighbor's 2 kids and having my 3Not sure what we will do all evening until I get the call to either pick up a parent/relative or someone has returned home next door.

Okay, I am still here and not much going on. My mom came over to visit and we have been busy going places. Not much to say. Still waiting on things to progress and sadly, I am getting impatient. Have a great Sunday and if you are stuck in all of this cold like I am, STAY WARM!!!!

White stuff

There is white stuff falling from the sky. I have to drive to downtown Nashville in the morning so I am hoping that this is just for tonight and will vanish by the morning. Anyway, I just thought that I would share. I called Brian to tell him and he seemed oh so thrilled (he isn't a lover of snow). Again, Happy new year!
