Sorry.

We made it home around 11am on Thursday but when we got to about 26 miles south of Oshkosh we got a call on our cell phone from a woman I work with named Tammy. She was in tears and stated she had been physically assaulted by her "fiance". Without question I stepped on the gas a bit and got home in an hour and a half and helped move some of her stuff into our apartment per her request to get out of that situation. Those of you who know me and my wife can understand why we would respond so quickly to this. She has been staying with us and will be staying with us until she finds a place of her own for her and her 16 year old daughter. We have been busy looking for an apartment and car for her to become independent for the first time in her whole life. She is 40 years old and has been through A LOT!!! In an effort to help her reboot her life I ask for all your prayers and any support you can provide. She will be at church Sunday night on the 23rd and is excited to attend a &quo...

I officially hate credit cards

So we found out after we started our trip out of Texas that the main credit card we were going to use for the whole trip was Maxed out! OOPS! so we were pretty worried as to what we were going to do for money for gas and meals from OK to WI. We decided to use our Community first card but when I went to check the balance online we realized that it wasn't listed so I called the number on the back of the card and they informed us that there were some charges that needed authorizing and they had frozen the account for fraud. Well...we found out that someone tried using our account to make some rather LARGE purchases. One for 1200 and another for 2500 and they had gotten away with about 100 bucks in iTunes music as well. We explained that we needed at least 1 fillup for gas and then we should be good by finding Mobil Gas Stations from then on as there are no Mobil or Exxon gas stations from Northern Texas to halfway through Missouri. Well they unfroze the account for one charge and then shu...

Way Back...

I think i'll just list some things here1. On the way down Kelly made a point of pointing out every walmart everytime I said "hey look...(ie. "Whataburger". So the conversation went like this...Chad: Hey look...Whataburger!Kelly: Hey look...Wal-mart!So she kept pointing out all the wal-marts even after I stopped pointing out odd restaurants and stuff. It was funny. Guess you had to be there. Now I'm doing it!2. Yesterday we walked down the Riverwalk and then took a boat ride around the whole thing. Kelly was snapping pictures like crazy.3. We went to the Alamo after that and it was REALLY interesting. I think Kelly got a real good sense of the History there. One thing I learned is, not only did David Crockett kill himself a Bear when he was 3 years old but he was also a General during the Alamo battle. KEWL!!!4. We went to see Lackland AFB and of course they wouldn't let us on but I could see the trainees doing drill. Ahhh...memories.5. After that we went ...

We're gonna stop and have the car looked at when we get into San Antonio. We found a Saturn dealer there. Right off the highway. Then we're going to the tower of the America's to get a meal and then back to bed!! YAY! TMRO we're going to Six Flags! And to see the Alamo and the River Walk! Then it should be time for bed again and then back home. Uggh! Not that we don't want to be back home but it's such a long drive.BTW it's 76 degrees right now LOL HAHAHAH! We got the A/C on and we're just north of Austin!! TTYL

Texas!!!

We just got into Texas!!! YAY!!! We had about a half hour setback cuz Kelly ran over a HUGE dead deer and got blood all over the wheels and broke the plastic guards by the front right wheel well. We pulled over and called OnStar to have them check the main components of the car. Everything was fine as far as that went but I wanted to see the side of the car to make sure everything was fine. So we called 911 and had an officer from the local area come out with a flashlight and thats when I saw all the blood and guts on the wheels and side of the car and the plastic broken. Kelly was really shooken up and for good reason. Hitting a dead deer at 75 mph will give anyone the willies. I drove on from there into Texas. (Oh yeah, we were half way through Oklahoma when that happened)So anyhoo! I'll Post when we get to San Antonio around 3pm - 4pm. I'll try to get pics of Dallas for Dennis and Melia.

klahoma! We got to oklahoma about an hour or 2 ago. Still making good time. Should be near dallas around 10 or 11. Kelly just popped a Vivarin and I'm downing Mountain Dew...well...about like normal! HA!We bypassed Tulsa and went through a bunch of little towns. Feels about the same as home except with a southern drawl. LOL!People are generally pretty nice. I stopped a guy at a Sinclare Gas Station cuz he looked like someone I knew. He wasn't but he talked to us for a minute. Guess what! He's a Packer fan!!! Take that Goode's! Ha!So anyhoo. TTYL when were in Texas!

We got to see the saint louis arch. It was cool! And for a few seconds i thought it was slowly spining. But it was because we were moving lol. Then we took wrong exit and ended up downtown saint louis. But we found highway quick. But anyway chad says missouri loves company lol. TTFN
