Well as most of you that read this know, my life has taken a sharpturn of unexpected events. It is funny how things just don't go the way you plan. Sometimes no matter how hard you try. These coming up months are going to be very rough. I ask for your prayers for me and my family.

Well guys I am doing this from my room which means that I figured out all of our problems and got the satellite working. I dont know how I did it, the people in Poland don't know how I did it, but I did and they wanted to know every step just in case it happened to someone else. I am the man right now here.

Satellite Problems

Ok, so the free internet we had in our rooms got yanked out while I was at home with Chris. Our platoon ordered a satellite and we are now trying toi set it up. Well basically its just me and 3 other guys who have no clue what we are doing. We sent the company a grid of where the sat. is so hopefully they get back to us with an azimuth and elevation so we can finish this thing. I dont even know if we are hooking it into the router right. If ti works though I will be able to be reached pretty much 24-7 on the phone number that most of you have. Take care.

Well I am back at my FOB (forward operating base). I finished my book on the heli ride over here. It was pretty good. It gave me a diffeent perspective on ther people of Afghanistan. Kinda helped me realize that they are not just animals. I need to get his other book called "The Kite Runner". If anyone can hook me up let me know.

Back In Afghanistan

Well I am back in Afghanistan where the birds sing beautifully all day long and the sun is like little drops of gold falling on your face. The air is as pure as a newborn baby and the locals love for you is as true as the sky is blue. Okay I guess I can't make up anymore crap. I am back and it sucks. In Qatar I felt like my stinkin face was going to melt off like in terminator. I really have to find another job. Take care everybody.

Christopher

Well as most of you know by now my brother Chris was in a bad motorcycle accident. The army is allowing me to return home and I should be there within a week. It really stinks being this far away, but the only thing I could do if I were there is the only thing that I can do here and that is pray. I ask for your prayers on his behalf. Thank you.

Cutting my finger off!!!

Okay, I didn't cut my finger off. Not even really close. I just cut it to the bone. I superglued it shut and went on about my day. Don't you just hate getting injured doing something stupid or doing something a way you are not supposed to. There is just something about knowing if you did a task the right way all would have beenfine that makes an injury even worse. Take care everybody.

War Is Hell Part II

Guys the war is so hard. Today We grilled out. There were ribs and steaks everywhere. We even had to deal with taliban chicken breasts. You guys be lucky you weren't there. There were pools of BBQ sauce deep enough to swim in. Oh man what a site. I think I am going to have PTSD or at least salmanella. War is HELL, the chicken wasn't quite done.
