Now for something Not completely different.

As it looks I will not be running my bike shop in Shelby after December 31st. It's time to do other things. Noah and I will be running a small bike shop out of our Quonset hut, and I will finally have the chance to get back to the auction business. The business I do enjoy. Ben is interested in starting a book store, so I will also help him to get his feet wet in that venture. We still hope to move north soon, but until then it will be nice getting back to something I will enjoy more. We will still be fostering too. If you know me, you know that changes in life are the things that get me excited. So, ...I'm excited!

Well I think I will attribute this entry to my wife Beth…..(pause for a moment) On Sept 7th. Beth and I will have been married 23 years. I also want to offer a special thanks to the people you see in the photo I have included. Why do I offer a special thanks to them? They are the ones that helped me remember the right date of my anniversary. For years I kept thinking it was the 5th. The next year would come around and I would say to myself. Let’s see, I know it’s the 5th or the 7th, I think I had it wrong last year, so it must be the 5th. The same thought several years in a row. I know it’s rather pathetic, but that was my dilemma. Then one year while it was in the back of my mind and I was either watching the Holy Grail, or thinking about it. It came to me. Remember the Hand grenade scene ? When the hand grenade scriptures were being read, and he was saying that you have to count to 3, and 3 is the number thou shall count, and do not continue to 4, AND - - 5 IS RIGHT OUT ...

We're not moving this year.

Things don't always go as you plan them. The person that was buying part of my property seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. I suppose that means he lost interest. The guy that was buying my bike/game shop decided to open a gaming shop just down the road from me. He was just sure he would take all my customers. He didn't realize first of all that my customers were loyal to me, and secondly that I have more than one trick in my bag of tricks. The last two days I don't think he had more than one customer, and that was himself. I have now taken my shop and opened a third business in it. Now besides Gabbard Cycle & Sport, and Jeff's Comics, I have introduced Black Tie Technology. It is a computer repair, and computer gaming outlet. Besides full computer repair, we offer daily WiFi rental, in shop online computer rental, and online X-Box 360 gaming. It looks like a hit. We are busy with customers, and we haven't even advertised yet. I also had a very good bible study wi...

WE'RE GETTING CLOSER & CLOSER...THE SKATE PARK IS SOLD ! ! !

Well it finally happened. The skate park sold. It is finally gone. It is so nice not to have to be there, or make the kids be there to run the place. Now we can concentrate on other things. We might not even have to list the house on the market. We have a friend that wants to buy it from us. That would be wonderful. Now we need to unload lots and lots of STUFF.. We have already started selling furniture on Craigslist. One of the last things we have to do is sell the Bike shop. Now that I have added gaming and comics, it is actually making money. That should make it easier to sell. We are trying to figure out when we can make a trip to Indiana to look at the house and other business matters. For some reason, I like life when it is hustle and bustle like this. I like moving, I like new places and faces. Please pray that everything goes well. God's will be done.

Out with the old, In with the new.

OK OK - The 1845 house was just too delapidated, and old. Now we are looking at a new house, 1855. This one is in town. The town of Bainbridge Indiana...Population 743 YEEHAW ! ! We have someone looking at the skatepark...I think they are serious too. wahoo..(not too excited yet) I paid a small fortune for a few storage units at an auction. You have never seen more junk crammed into one area. Wow, I am ready for storage auctions north of these mountains. Well, that's my update - Ya'll come back now, Ya hea?

Well, seems all my friends are moving, so I'll let the cat out of the bag about us.

We have been talking about the idea of moving ourselves for sometime now. We at first were heavily considering Bowling Green Kentucky. (New Mexico has been in my mind for several years now. However; I think that it would be a bad choice for now with Beth and I having elderly parents) One of my best friends in the whole wide world has invited us to move to Indiana to be close to them. With other good friends in that area, and my kids giving the "thumbs up" Beth and I are considering that the top of the list. One thing is for sure. We are ready to move. Lord willing, if all goes well, we will be moving the summer of 2008. Beth has even found a house to consider. It is right up our alley. The realtor said it is not livable in the condition it is in now. JUST OUR KIND OF HOUSE !(Built in 1845, coolio)

Well, it is never how I expect things to go. But that's ok, I learned long ago to just roll with the punches. It makes life more interesting. Maybe, and of course that is a BIG maybe. I have a buyer for my bike shop and I might keep the skatepark for a while longer. Who knows, If I can find someone I trust to help me run the place, we might keep it a good bit longer. We keep praying for God's will to be done in our lives, and that is why I don't fret too much when my initial ideas don't work out.

This is my new entry - I WANNA SELL THE SKATEPARK ! ! !

Yes, it is true. There are a few things I do like about my skatepark business. But when I do a T-Chart of pros and cons. The Cons have it. Our life is consumed with it. 7 days a week. We can never have all the family together to do things anymore. I have been used to a lot of hours, but I am also used to being able to be flexable with them. Not to mention the business has been slower than expected financially. It is picking up, but I think that is just a better time to sell. We had a family meeting last night and discussed the spiritual state of everyone. I think we have been so consumed it has been a drain on us spiritualy. That certainly needs to improve. And it is time to start NOW. Any extra prayers on this family's behalf would be appreciated. Maybe I can actually be able to get on PLEO a little more often. Here's a picture of my ol' friend Jessie at the Vend-a-moo.We love the Vend-a-moo.
