Camping Russ and I had a great camping trip with 2 of our daughters and their kids! Yes, we were excited to be invited to go to a Homeschool camp in Louisiana with 6 of our grandkids! We shared a lovely cabin for 4 days and we had alot of fun! I thought the weather was great! It was very mild and over cast, just like I like it! While back at our home in CA it was in the 100's! Glad I missed that! We did have some thunder and lightening and pouring rain which made it difficult to go to the bathroom which was a ways away! But who cares! We played alot of games including a new game My daughter give me called Apples to Apples! And at night we got together with the other campers and sang! We also had Bible classes which were great! The kids had so much fun running around and Playing in the big puddles! We met alot of very nice people and enjoyed our time with them. We also had a chance to Geo Cache! I didn't know what that was but I soon learned! A group of us trapsed through the trails o...

Here's RoreeOur daughter, Katie and our granddaughter, Roree who is 2 years old came to visit us for the last 2 weeks! We were so excited to have them stay with us. We had Easter the first Sunday they were here even though it was a week late. Roree had fun hunting the Easter eggs. Then during the week she joined in my daycare. I was lucky to snap the above photo of her playing! Then on Saturday we went to Discovery Kingdom where Roree and Katie got to ride an elephant named Liz. Roree wasn't afraid at all! Now Katie and Roree are getting settled in Hawaii with husband and Daddy Josh where they will live for a few years while Josh is stationed there with the Marines. We miss them already but are very happy for the time we got to spend with them!

Our Merry Christmas!

Russ and I had a great Christmas in Houston with our daughter Aimeeand her family. We arrived about 9:00 P.M. on Tues the 18th and were greeted by our 3 adorable grandsons Elijah 5, Samuel 3 and Ezra 7 months and also our adorable daughter Aimee and her husband Moses. The first thing Samuel said to us was "Hi, Chicken Bone" which his Papa says is a term of endearment he thinks! Well that was just the first of Samuel's 3 year old personality! He can be quite contrary! But on the last day of our stay he sat on my lap and begged to go home with us! Of course, Grandma thought that was so sweet and I would have took him if I could! Elijah loves to play games and I think I played 100 games with him but he is getting tired of his baby games being a big boy of 5 so when Santa brought him new games we made plans to play them on my next trip there which will probably be in April! Elijah beat his Grandpa in checkers and Grandpa didn't let him win because Grandpa doesn't let any won win ...

Russ and I were lucky enough to get to spend Thanksgiving in the Chicago area with most of our kids and grandkids. Even though our daughter, Aimee and her family couldn't come they were in our thoughts! Our hosts were our son Rusty and his wife, Catherine. Our daughters, Christy and Katie and their families were there also. We got to spend time with 4 of our 7 grandkids. Needless to say, I took lots of pictures of them. and they always smile for me because I promise them Skittles! Catherine fixed us a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with help from Katie, Christy and her friend Amanda. Then we played lots of games and planned our Black Friday shopping trip. We left the house at 3:00A.M. on Friday morning and shopped til I almost dropped! But I did get to have my first coffee at Starbucks that morning! Sat. at @ 6:00A.M. we all took the train into Chicago for a day of sightseeing! We were all bundled up because it was freezing and we all come from warmer climates. We went up to the 103rd ...
