till_Jesus_comes_I'll_sing_His_praise

I was thinking about changing my handle. I was sittin there on the front row this morning, waiting to get up and help serve on the table. He was sitting next to me. That was a little creepy for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of him, he's becoming quite handy in the worship service, waiting on the table, reading scripture and giving a Wednesday night invitation and all, I guess I'll get used to it though. he's a fine boy. Anyway I was sittin there waiting to go up and Alan calls out 166 - He Loved Me So. This song touches me and makes me think of Jesus' love for me. He didn't HAVE to come here and live on this earth and die for me, but he did...v3 shakes me from my deep thoughts and propels me to look forward to that great day when He comes back and I get to meet him face to face. Till then I'll sing His praise. I was thinkin about changing my handle to, till_Jesus_comes_I'll_sing_His_praise but I think I'll stay withi_wantobe_ready

Jamaican Blue Mountain

I love good coffee. I love the aroma of fresh brewing coffee wafting through the house. That is what I'm smelling right now, the aroma of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee wafting through the kitchen and the dining room down the hall to my desk. It's a slow drip pot so I know it's not ready yet but I anticipate a fine cup of coffee to enjoy on my way to the jobsite this morning. How 'bout you?Are you enjoying a cup of the Jamaican Blue?

...not real sure where that last post came from...I was in a strange place and it happened, and so, it is part of who I am so it stays.A few random thoughts this evening...It was a nice change to go out of town for a few days, but it messed up something in my body's internal synchronization or something. I have been a little more off than usual since coming back from Utah. I'm starting to feel a little better now and things are starting to level off. We struggle with everyday things more so than we used to but we are confident that God will help us through it all. I'm not as smart as I used to be... I'll finish that thought some other time...I miss my grandfather... I wish he were still here, I have so many things to ask him about...he knew more about the bible than any man I ever knew.I have become my father in so many ways...I miss my mother, I wish I could go see her more often...Susan is my bestest friend. Sometimes my only...friend...I am NOT worthy...to try to b...

thought I'd share a few pix from my trip to Utah.

There wasn't a lot of time to do any sightseeing but I did take a few pictures from the truck as I we were driving through. These were taken on the road between Salt Lake City and Vernal City Utah.Snow capped mountains. This was in a ski area but there was not enough snow to ski on yet in most of the areas I was in.I believe these are called lodgepole pine treesThe open road...Another oddity in Vernal...I'm not sure of the significance of the pink dinosaur but they do seem obsessed there in Vernal City...Interesting rock formations everywhereHigh desert with the mountains in the backgroundThis is part of what I was in Utah for. It is an access control system. Here is the camera system. They can view the cameras from this location back at their corporate headquarters in North Texas. Sorry for the focus, It's better that way for security reasons.Looks like we missed all the fun at the Murff's last weekend...We are glad much good was done to help others.

Have you ever been to Vernal Utah?

Me neither. One of my coworkers and I will be flying out Monday morning to Salt Lake City then taking a 3+ hour drive to Vernal in an AVIS rental car. The plan is to travel all day Monday and be at the jobsite in Vernal all day Tuesday and most of Wednesday then drive back to Salt Lake City Wednesday afternoon and catch a 7PM flight back to Houston with a very short layover in las vegas. According to my flight schedule we will arrive back at Hobby at 12:55 AM Thursday morning. Apparently there was some difficulty getting the flight we wanted that might have been more of a direct route back home but then again someone else made the arrangements so I didn't get to choose.I am a bit disturbed though, about a particular watermelon eating dinosaur I found on one of the websites about Vernal. See for yourself...Pray for our safe travel and return...
