Back to the real world

We had a wonderful time in Florida. It was great that we were able to share it with so many family and friends. The whole family had a wonderful time. I got Caitlyn over her fear of the characters so I have some really cute pictures of her now. We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and I loved it, I found it so relaxing. we were able to visit so many of our Christian friends, which was very enjoyable. We missed some that we would of liked to see, but Lord willing we will see them at our next visit. The weirdest thing about this vacation is that we do not have a next one planned. Everytime we have left Florida in the past we knew when we would be back. So that is a little weird for me. Now we are concentrating on saving for a new house. Hopefully in a couple years we will be able to move. If not I am totally okay, life is very good right now. We love our neighbors and Josiah is in a great school. Another weird thing is that I am the mother of a five year old. I don't feel ...

My baby is growing up.

I just got a call last night and Josiah was invited into the school district we applied for. He will be starting 4K September 2nd. I was not at all expecting the call this close to the start of the school year. I actually thought he would not get in and that I would have him home another year.It is an opportunity we can not pass up because he is guaranteed a spot in the school district till after 5th grade. I was excited at first, but now I am a little sad. It will only be for 2 1/2 hours, but I will really miss him during those 2 1/2 hours. Just wanted to share.

MN

I am here in MN this weekend. Jake is doing his pez thing. I am doing some shopping. Well, as much shpping as you can do with three kids to care for and entertain. The kids had a great time at the amusement park in the middle of the mall. It used to be Camp Snoopy, but now it has a Nickalodean (sp?) theme. We got Caleb some legos it seems to be something he really enjoys. I found a great deal on a new hand bag. I hope to get some shopping done tomorrow. I want to take the kids t Ikea. They have a 99 cent breakfast. It is great because they have a cart to push your trays which really comes in handy with the kids. I also saw a play area I think the kids will really love. After that I will see if they have anything I think I will use. I love that store. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Caitlyn enjoying her cake

As promised here are a couple pictures from Caitlyn's first Birthday.Of all my kids she loved her cake the most. She even licked her plate clean. We had a great time. A little sad to think that this is our last "First Birthday".Josiah started playing T-Ball last week. Jake is coaching lucky us we got the Purple team after we have drilled in Josiah's head that the color purple is "girlie". He laughed when we told him what color the team was. The best part is that Jake gets to wear a nice purple shirt too. I will post some pictures of that soon.Caleb is doing well too. I feel bad for him because Josiah is old enough for different activities and he really want to be involved too. I can see he is trying to figure out his place. I can't wait till he turns 3 and we can start him in some things.Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Mine has been long and relaxing which is very unusual.

"...there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." Luke 15:7

Prayers were answered! There was much rejoicing last night when my older sister, Jessica, repented of her sins and turned her life back to God. I am so happy!! I have missed her so much over the past five years and can’t wait to be able to pick up were we left off. I know sometimes we doubt God’s plan, but we must remember God knows best and his plan DOES work if it is followed as he intended. Praise God!I hope you are all having good weeks too!!

How it went

A couple of entries ago I mentioned that I would be having a meeting with a member of the Lord’s church who had fallen away. The meeting occurred this morning and I feel it went very well. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and ask that you keep praying that this sister is willing to make the needed changes in her life. During the meeting we discussed the need for immediate repentance and not putting it off to a time that was convenient for ourselves. After all our life is but a vapor (James 4:14). There was good discussion and tears shed. I am hoping that I have left her with some things to think about in God’s word. I will be praying and I ask for your continued prayers. I am hoping soon that there will be much rejoicing when she returns back to the fold of God.In other news Caitlyn has stood unassisted for a few seconds. I guess this means walking for her is only a couple months away. She still lights up the room with her smiles. Caleb is talking so much n...

Attention Milwaukee County residents......

do not forget to vote Tuesday April 1st. There is an election tomorrow for County Executive. I just want to remind all you Milwaukee County residents. I would recommend a vote for Scott Walker. He has held the line on property taxes for his entire term despite opposition. All of us in Milwaukee County know we do not need ANY MORE TAXES. He is the only politician that I believe in because he has always followed through on his promises. You can't find a more honest person for the job. So get out there and vote.
