Vacation ideas?

Mom and I are wanting to go on a weekend trip away together in October. Matt is going camping with some guys... so mom and I want to get away. Know of any good places? We want maybe a quaint town with lots of shopping, or just somewhere gorgeous that Matt wouldn't want to go to. I always hate being somewhere I know he wants to be...it makes me miss him too much! =) It is ok if we have to fly there. I have been researching some places, but would love suggestions!!Happy thoughts:-Great weekend with Ann and Jon Cunningham!-It is suppose to get down into the 50's later this week!-Cleaning out the garage-Having a good report from the principalHope you have a good week!

College Game Day

Even though we lost to LSU, I thought we looked a lot better than last week. Game Day was here in Auburn so it was pretty crazy around here. My Dad, brother, and his two friends camped out Friday night to get close to Game Day. Justin made it on tv. Matt and I decided we were too old for that! =)Mom and I did go up there early Saturday morning. I got a game day hard hat. Here is mom and me at game day. This was before all the people got there.

Matt and I just got home from spending the weekend with my family in Birmingham. We had a great time. We got to spend time with my sweet niece Caroline who is three now and my nephew Jackson who is almost 4 months old. They are adorable! It is nice to break up the week with a little trip on the weekend. Back to school tomorrow. I hope this week goes by fast. I'm already excited about next weekend. Auburn vs LSU. I think I dislike LSU more than Bama....=) Game Day is going to be in Auburn on Saturday, so the town will be even more excitement than usual! Justin, my brother, says he wants to camp out at Game Day Friday night! I don't think I am that into it! =) I hope Auburn looks better than they looked against Mississippi State. 3-2 ??? Come on! WAR EAGLE!!Hope yall have a good week! My mom is on here now. So, go welcome her!

Tomorrow I officially start back to school. I am excited and a little nervous about it. I have 26 kids this year!! I have never had more than 24 and that was during my internship. We will be a little cramped...but it is going to be exciting! I have some great kids in my class. I have a sister of one of my kids from last year and I LOVE that family! I also have the vice principal's daughter in my class....EEKKK!! I do have to say that it makes me nervous!!I love the start of school because everyone is excited to be there...even the kids. Thursday night is Meet Your Teacher night when all the families come to meet me. It is going to be a busy week! Today is for relaxing and getting mentally prepared for the rest of this week!Hopefully I will keep this updated throughout this year! I am sure he will help to remind me! =)Hope you all have a great week!

Noises in the new house....

We are still enjoying our house! It is hard at night with all the new noises!! Matt was at a tool party for a guy getting married the other night. Our house made all kinds of noises. I know someone knocked on our door once. It was terrible. I am usually not scared....but that night I was!!! Then last night I was turning out all the lights and noticed 2 hand prints on our back door. It looked like the hand prints you see off a scary movie...you know where they rub their hands down a window?? AH! It was terrible! THEN.... I start to get in the bed and under my pillow was an old picture of a lady and 2 kids. They were not smiling and very scary looking!!! Thanks to him for that little surprise!! He thought it was hilarious!!!Hope you all are doing good!!

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted. I am going to try and do better....but it seems like life is always busy. I am going to stop making excuses...ok Matt? =)I love this time of year! My christmas tree is up, lights are up outstide and shopping is not done! I realized I only have a few weeks left to shop...feeling a little stressed about that. Who has their shopping done? Help me!My school year is going great! I have the best class! I was asked to help with choir this year and our winter program is going to be so great. Little did I know when I accepted to help, I would end up directing songs...yea a little nervous about that. The song I am directing for the program is One Song of Peace. The kids sound so sweet. We are even performing sign language as we sing. I hope I can make it through without crying! We went to Opryland for Thanksgiving. It was great! My whole family went and saw ICE. I will post some pictures next time. Maybe that will help me post sooner.W...

My brother

Matt and I went and visited his family in Houston this past weekend. It was a lot of fun! On the way home last night I got the best call. It was from my brother, Justin. He was calling me to tell me that he was on his way back up to the church building to get baptized! He has been thinking about it for along time. I am so proud of him! He is now my brother in Christ. When I talked to him afterwards he sounded like a different person. He was so happy and he said he felt better! I pray that he remembers that feeling in the years to come! I love my brother so much and am so happy that he has made this most important decision!!!!
