My apologies

Thank you for indulging my private "joke" with my siblings. They sometimes lurk here but don't intend to join us in this black-pleo-world. They got the laugh that I intended and now I can move on!!Our Thanksgiving was yummy and festive. I whipped my mother at Scrabble and Joey fell in love with his grandparents all over again. God's blessings on all and may your Sunday be blessed.

Today...

Ack! I haven't finished my to-do list for today and it is nagging at me a bit.I have got all the cornbread torn up and set up for making the dressing. Also, Jerry doesn't really like cornbread dressing as much so I am making him some of the yankee-white-bread-version. Aw, true love! However, I need to make my pies tonight. Not going to bed until it's done. Better get to it.It's starting to feel more festive every day!

Today's DONE list:

**chopped LOTS of celery and onion -- put in airtight containers in the fridge. No chopping on Thursday!**made cornbread to make the dressing with. It is better if it is a few days less than fresh!!**put the leaf in the dining room table.**put protective pad on the dining room table. **AND the table cloth.**got out all serving pieces and put notes inside each bowl, platter, etc. as to what goes in which one. I have found that this type of method is MUCH more suited to my personality. I would rather plod along all week long instead of going crazy on Thursday. My parents are scheduled to be here at my house Wednesday afternoon and the goal is to have most -- hopefully ALL -- of the tedious parts done before they get here. That will leave me so much freer to visit and enjoy!Laura and Tuck are leaving for NC very, very early on Wednesday morning. I am so excited for them that they can make this trip but I do covet prayers for their safe travels.

I am posting this tonight because the week will probably be busy for all of us. I wish each of you, my friends, a day of blessings and special memories. If you are cooking, have fun! If you are traveling, be safe. To God be the glory.glitter-graphics.com

I cannot believe it myself. I...gasp...joined...gasp...gasp...Facebook. Whodathunkit??I feel so...teenage! Yikes. We'll see if I can hang in there long enough to figure it all out. I really like my pleonasting so it's going to be hard to enjoy the other, maybe. The cool thing is that there are some old FCers over there that aren't over here and it is good to see their faces. This morning, Joey and I went to our annual holiday shopping extravaganza that Conway does. It is called "Dazzle Daze" and there are lots of booths with tempting treats -- edibles, decorations, monogrammed ANYTHING, etc. This morning was breakfast with Santa and this is the third year we have done that. For your ticket price you get in, you get breakfast and a drink, you get to sit with Santa and have your picture done, you get to do a craft and take it home and you get to hear different schools, etc., sing and do other holiday things. And the Moms get to shop.Right now my camera ba...

That is the "Woman of the Bible" that our ladies' class is studying tonight. Jacob's only daughter. What exactly is it that we can learn from her to apply to our lives today? There is SO LITTLE said about her at all. Have any of you studied anything about her before?

We're Off To See The Wizard

Tonight after we got home from services, the only thing on television was the last half of the Wizard of Oz. The four of us were whipped and were hoping to vegetate together for a few minutes in front of the tube.Joey has seen this classic before but it has been awhile ago...before his sense of humor was more developed. Tonight, during the song by the cowardly lion "If I were King of the Forest", Joey cracked up! He laughed so hard and fell over on the couch that we were all cracking up AT HIM. So fun! I love that movie and I love that Joey!
