Two precious little girls

This morning when I was feeding the girls breakfast, I took the opportunity to talk about the fruit of the spirit and was telling them I wanted them to learn all nine in the list. Kaitlyn was able to remember five, by the time we finished the discussion. Maybe she can help me teach Lexi. A little while later, they hooked up in a loud tug of war over a box of colored pencils. I just walked in the living room and quietly began to say, "Love, Joy, Peace, Patience,"......they both took their hands off the box of colored pencils and just quietly stood there looking at me. I hope I can soon have them quoting all nine, and I hope it continues to have the same effect on them. They are such sweet girls and they love each other so much....just a little competitive. They are fun to be around.

What a way to start the day!!!

Well, a few minutes before 6 a.m., I locked the door behind Artie as he left for another day of work. A few seconds later, he sounds like he is about to beat the door down and I hurry to open it.He says, "A skunk is after me. I think he wants to play!"He bravely went back out in a couple of minutes and I guess Mr. Skunk had departed for parts unknown.I told Artie to take bug spray, just in case, but he said he didn't want to give the skunk a reason to think he should have tofight back. I guess he was right. In any case, he was brave togo back out that door! Hope he has a good day at work after sucha traumatic start!!!

Give this serious consideration

Please help us get this information into the hands of as many people as possible by forwarding it to your entire e-mail list of family and friends. If you think things are bad now, just wait October 8, 2008 Dear Jo,The upcoming election is the most critical election in the history of our nation. The very future of our nation’s foundation is at stake. Every person will be affected. If the liberals win, then our foundation will no longer be based on the traditional Judeo-Christian morality. It will gradually but assuredly be based on an ever shifting, ever moving foundation. If the liberals win, the damage can’t be stopped with elections two, four or forty years from now. America will forever be changed. We will keep seeing a gradual and growing hostility toward people of faith, especially Christians. The morals of our nation will continue to decline. Our children and grandchildren will pay the price. In case you may think I’m a “the sky is falling” type of person, yo...

Just ran across it again and I still think it is something I need to remember."Worry is like a rocking chair. It will give you something to doBut it isn't going to get youanywhere."

I have to get in on the new doggie excitement, and besides, I really needed a new post. Well, Chloe is a cutie and more well behaved than lots of kids are.*****************************************************************And here are a few pictures from the "Hurricane Party" at the Murff's this evening. There was food, fun, good company and wonderful entertainment. I should have taken more pictures. There were lots more people there. I think Stephanie Kelly and her friend, Christina had the most fun of all. Thank you, Bill and Elaine Murff!!!
