My Daddy turned 80 today (11/28) :)I'm going to IKEA tomorrow, just for fun. Then we (my hubby and I + whatever girls wish to join us) will watch the Gators stomp the Seminoles :)Sunday I will turn 46.I'm enjoying having all three of our girls under one roof this weekend. I don't think they have any idea how happy they make me :) Right now, at 12 at night, they are having tickling, crazy, silly fun. I love it.Have a great week end.

I love Thanksgiving. I'm glad to live in a country where we actually have a holiday called Thanksgiving. Today, Walmart was SO busy that I couldn't even get down the baking isle. I stood there and just looked and pondered how I might accomplish the task. A woman stood there next to me and asked, "What do you need? I'll run get mine and yours!" :) To which I replied, "Miniature marshmallows" and off she ran. So, while I double checked my list my personal shopper picked up my item so I didn't have to maneuver between 12 people and their carts :) Thanks Ma'am! What a wonderful country :)What are you Thankful for Today?Me? My precious family and friendly neighbors :)

I'm totally drained when it comes to Pleonast lately. I can't think of what to write. Very busy around here. Lots to prepare for (Thanksgiving, a trip to Idaho, holiday fun, school, teaching Bible class starting in January). Just wanted you all to know I'm alive. When I get "inspired" again I will write :)Today we had an excellent morning sermon. I missed tonight (Sadie has a little cold). Off to bed. Will update - as soon as I get my head to focus on one thing at a time! Ha! Until then, I will just read yours... so get to writing!Love you all!

I'm tired and a little drained today. I will write about my trip a little later. My parents had a wonderful time I think :)I'm glad to be back on the ground, but my flights were actually quite enjoyable :) On my long flights from Atlanta to CA and back I had an empty seat next to me which made it very comfortable. I read my Bible, listened to music, watched the news on the inflight monitor (no FOX though!) and watched the video podcast "Bringing Disneyland Home" :) So I "rode" virtual rides to keep my mind off of the altitude! It was very relaxing :)Have a great day! I'm off to buy groceries for my family :)

California Update

My sisters have gone home :( But, I'm still here in California with my parents (and bro/sil) until Tuesday morning :)We all flew in on Tuesday and began the fun :)Wednesday we (mostly my sisters) made Chalupa and had a wonderful meal with everyone. Chalupa is a family FAVORITE and we MUST have it every time we come together. It is a wonderful melding of corn tortillas, chicken, cream of mushroom/chicken soup, sour cream, green chiles and cheese (lots of cheese)! My sister brought cheese from Tucson and Blue Cheese Dressing from a restaurant we all love :) Homemade salsa by our brother and guacamole by my sister were a great addition :)Wednesday night was singing night! It was wonderful and our Dad got to "show us all off" to their spiritual family. It was a wonderful evening of fellowship.Thursday morning we kids went to town (my folks live WAY out in the boonies in Loma Rica, CA) to get more goodies for the birthday event. That evening we gathered at my brothe...

Here safe and sound. Had a great flight except for the liberal media coverage on the screen right in front of my face (I shouldn't have watched so much of it) By the time I landed the decision was made. Weird.Having a GREAT time! Thanks for the prayers :)

Dad is actually 10 days younger than Mickey Mouse - so sorry to mislead you all :) (My big sister corrected me - Ha! Isn't that a big sister's job?) It's close enough to count though don't you think?I'm flying today. I'm wearing my "I voted" sticker on my jacket. It says, "I voted early" :) Sorry Tina, but I'm also wearing my orange and blue all the way across the country :) Go Gators!***Your prayers would be greatly appreciated for my travel.***Next post from California, Lord willing! Love you all!

I'm flying to California on Tuesday!

My Dad is turning 80 this month. We "kids" are all going to be with him and Mom for a week. I haven't been away from my family like this.... ever? It's going to be weird. I'm excited about being there and even a little excited about traveling by myself all the way across the country with just my iPod, a book and my Bible. If I really liked flying I would be *quite* excited about that, but being in a big metal tube at 30,000 feet is just not my idea of... fun. I'm going to download TONS of podcasts to fill my time and keep my mind off of the elevation factor. Once we are all together I am anticipating a WONDERFUL time with my siblings and parents! I'll try to update from there. It will be interesting getting the results of the election that night in California! So Happy Birthday Dad! See you soon! BTW, I know that many of you know that I am a Disney Geek/Freak. My Dad is the SAME EXACT age as the mouse: Mickey Mouse! November 28, 1928 produced the first M...
