Not much going on but lazy summer...

Well, not a lot new going on around here. I will update you all to say that I have now placed membership at the Franklin Church of Christ here in TN. I love all the people there. They have been so kind and really seem like they are trying to get to Heaven and take as many as they can with them. I appreciate that greatly and hope that I can be an encouragement and asset to them as they have already been to me.Work is still going well. I'm learning the ropes and enjoying the new experience I'm gaining. It can be stressful at times, like any job, but I do enjoy it just the same. Work is never the same around here, which is good. There is always some new problem that comes up in the process so I'm not bored or at a loss for something to do most of the time.I have to stop here and give a shout to all my folks in Auburn or those who are Auburn fans! I've really been anticipating the start of football season lately. Seems like once summer time gets here and there's nothing much good to wa...

Long time, no blog...

I know, I know. Its been a while since I posted. Really I don't have an excuse, just didn't have a lot to say. Well, I take that back. I haven't had much to say on my own blog; I have had things to say on others' blogs.Well, I guess I'll start by updating you on how life in TN is going. I really like it a lot. The area is great and I love the people. My job is going well. I'm learning more and more everyday and hope that it will continue. The house is great. I've recently purchased some new furniture to go in the living room and, with the help of Mom, gotten some things painted that really needed it. You know you just don't realize until you have a place of your own just how much money it takes to maintain it the way you like. I'm enjoying the whole experience though. The search for a congregation to place membership with is slowly coming to an end. I have visited a lot of places in the area and everyone has been great. I've been looking for about 3 months now and I think I know whe...

Moving...

That's right. I'm moving again, but its not what you think. I'm not moving out of my townhouse. Just out of my current office at work. The entire office building is moving to another newly constructed buidling right next door. We have been sharing our current office building with other businesses but this new building will completely be housing us. I can tell you that I'm tired of moving and don't wish to do it again anytime soon. One of the good things about this move is that I will have tomorrow (Friday) off so the move of the office equipment can be completed. Long weekend for me!!! Yes!!!!On another note, starting this Sunday, the Franklin Church of Christ is beginning a gospel meeting with Mike Waters of Cullman, AL. He will be speaking through Wednesday on the topic of Angels. If anyone is in the area of Franklin, TN and interested, just post a comment or email me at jules31477@yahoo.com.I guess that's all for now. Hope you all have a great day and wonderful weekend!

The Guy "Friend"

Okay, okay, I think I've put this off as long as I can. Apparently from the looks of a few of the comments I've received recently, I need to give more information on my guy "friend."Well, I won't give away everything (have to keep you guys coming back for more) but, I will say that this "friend" is slowly becoming a little more than that. I'm just calling him a "friend" at this point because it takes the pressure off both of us for a while. We've been hanging out quite a bit lately taking it slow and trying to get to know each other better. Its nothing more than casual at this point and to say more would be pushing it so I'll leave it at that.I won't promise that I'll keep you updated but maybe if you're good, I'll slip in a little tid bit every now and then! Have a great weekend! :)

Ready for the Weekend...

Happy Friday all!I never thought Friday was going to get here! I'm planning a trip down to B'ham this weekend. I hope the upcoming storms supposed to be moving through the area this afternoon won't be too bad. Keep me in your prayers. Jonathan and JoEllen are heading down too and will be about an hour or so behind me and will probably be at greater risk than me so keep us all in your prayers!Work is going well. Its a lot of information but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'm so glad I'm getting to apply my database and SQL knowledge attained in school to a real-world environment. This is new for me. Really the first time since graduating Auburn that I have a job that is directly related to my MIS degree. I'm loving TN so far and the people in the surrounding congregations have been great! I've been working and living here for almost exactly a month now so I haven't placed membership anywhere yet. So much to do, so little time! :)More later; have a great weekend everyone!...
