Big Girl or Baby?

One of my favorite recent pics of Becca:My sister took this at my cousins wedding a few weeks ago.Yes, Rebecca is a big girl now! Although we had a funny conversation this morning. I got her out of bed and I was changing her diaper:Me-"Do you want to be a big girl today and wear a pull up and teetee in the potty?"Becca-"No, Change diaper"Me-"Do you want to wear your curious george panties?Becca-"Yes"me-"Well you have to teetee in the potty to wear george panties.Becca-"No potty, change diaper"Me-"Don't you want to be a big girl?"Becca-"No I baby, change diaper"So maybe she's not ready to be a big girl yet, but we're workin on it!House is ALMOST finished. They are down to getting the floors in, electrical and plumbing fixtures, and just the finishing up stuff. So if all goes as planned, we'll be in the house in a couple weeks! My goal is to be and settled somewhat for Becca's B-day party on Nov. 15th....

My quirky Daughter

Can't believe it's already fall! Which means cooler weather, our house will be finished, we move in, our anniversary, fun holidays, and my daughter will turn 2!!! Hard to believe!Ok, so most days she is really precious and I love her curiousity and seeing her learn something new, but then there are days like today where I try to shop and it's just pure craziness! I think she was just a little on the tired side? But anyways, we got home and I had to bribe her to come in off the swing to eat lunch. What bribe worked? Telling her she could watch Mr. Bean!!! Me and Andrew think this is just hilarious that she likes it so much! I guess she saw the Bean movie 1st when we were watching one night and she just sat there and stared. Drew has a little bobble head Mr. Bean and Becca always asks to hold it.Drew also has all the Bean shows. He watched them one day and it got Becca hooked. And the funny thing is...she catches some of the humor. She'll giggle at this or that. So if she sees the mov...

What's that I hear?...Silence...

So I'm taking a little mommy break today and tomorrow.I have my usual work in B-ham today and tomorrow. I usually spend the night with my parents when I work 2 days in a row and my mom keeps up with Becca while I work. This week my parents are traveling so I worked out Becca staying at home with MIL today and a friend tomorrow. Drew said he'd be fine with her this evening. They might even had a father/daughter outing. So I already miss my crazy wild kid, but the quiet break is SUPER nice! She has run me ragged lately, besides having some health issues I've been dealing with lately. (Nothing major)So I've done my cleaning today and gone grocery shopping. So I've got the afternoon and evening to rest, read, pray, and actually think without disturbance. I might go shopping and take advantage of not having to drag a kiddo through the store. Do a little early christmas shopping maybe? I NEVER wait till the last minute to shop. So I was super excited to see they were starting to put si...

My how time flys!

-Wow, where did the summer go? It's almost september already!I'm ready for fall and the change of seasons. I LOVE FALL! This fall will bring many changes for us!-I'm so wanting to take a trip. We said we would hold off on a trip b/c of our house being built. But I'm really wanting to go somewhere. Maybe we'll do a little something at the end of October?-The house is coming along. The roofers are horrible and have taken 3 plus weeks to NOT finish the roof. But I must say it is a VERY pretty blue! The brick looks great and it almost done.We have all the doors and windows so now the house gets locked up at night. Builder still hopes to have us in by the end of Sept.WOW..can't believe that, only a little over a month and we'll be moving in! I think I may cry when we move in! What a blessing we have been given!-Becca is such a big girl. Can't believe how fast she's grown. She talks a lot and is still a very busy little girl. She is getting a little temper, but still a very sweet chil...

I love births!

Haven't updated in a while!Becca is still growing and learning everyday. She says SO much now and is starting to put more words together and almost sentences. It's a lot of fun to watch them grow and change! She is precious, but still keeps me on my toes! can't believe she's 19 months! So we have a foundation for our house now! They have cleared the land, dug the basement and poured the footers. So next will be the block walls. It's very exciting watching the progress!! Rebecca enjoyed seeing the big 'tractors' used to clear the land. House should be done in about 4 months? So I'm enjoying summertime. I just enjoy the longer days, the sunshine, staying busy. I've always felt so good in the summer. I'm back to work cleaning for my dear friend Hayes(who is now pregnant with baby #6) They leave today for the beach for a MONTH! Which is my fun time to go and REALLY clean while no one is there! Why I enjoy it so much I don't know. I can't do it for just anyone. I have a couple regula...

Mother's Day: Good vs. Not so good

Good:-having my parents come yesterday.-quality time with Mama-lunch with ALL the family-Home-made gifts-16x24 pic of my beautiful daughter!(my mother's day gift to myself)-WORK BOOTS! (Mama's gift to me)-Quality time with Hubby and Daddy hauling limbs and clearing our land! Not so good:-Becca being sick for the past 2 weeks(Bad cold last week + stomach issues this week + teething = sad, tired, miserable baby girl!)-Taking Becca to the after hours clinic last nightand getting no answers for why she feels so rotten.-Tornadoes and power outagesyikes...those were SOME storms...hope everyone is ok!Happy Mother's day to all the Mommy's out there!I'm gonna go play with Becca a little bit since she decided she's not ready for bed yet.

Overview of Becca's Infection Results and BEACH trip

Well a friend offered for me and Becca to go with her family to the beach this past week. Last weekend Becca had me a nervous wreck with a fever and not feeling well. OK now normally I AM NOT a paranoid Mama and we don't go to the Dr. much and all...but here's how it all started:Last week Becca had a TB skin test, just another test on her infection stuff she had. Well friday I talked to the nurse and we decided the test was negative...ok good. She had results on Becca's infection: A culture grew a bacteria called AFB (Acid Fast Bacilli) which is part of the MAC (myobacterium Avium Complex) OK so those big words mean that the infection was Atypical TB, NOT an active form of TB. SO everything is fine since she is healing great, BUT if the infection were to come back they would have to treat with heavy medications.Ok so the nurse says: "Watch her incinsion and should she start running fever, vomiting, cough, etc. let us know"And what does Becca do? She ran fever all afternoo...
