Update-Henry is out of surgery and is currently being cuddled by his Mommy. James says the first feeding should be around 2am...then another around 5am. It looks like he will be coming home sometime tomorrow afternoon. Off to make sure all three little ones are actually asleep!- Shannon

Surgery

Ok, another update.Henry will be having surgery at Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital in the next couple of hours to fix his pyloric stenosis. Debbie is pretty sure that they will have to stay overnight, but he should be able to come home tomorrow. Ironically, the same surgeon that performed Liam's surgery is going to do Henry's!Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers!~ Shannon

Not what I expected...again

What a day! Because Henry's symptoms were exactly the same as Liam's at the beginning I was fairly confident we were dealing with the same thing. I went up to the doctor today prepared for the worst- kids at a friend's house, overnight bag for me (twice I've been stuck at Vanderbilt overnight unexpectedly with babies having surgery- what are the odds?!), and lots of bottles/changes of clothes for Henry. Fortunately, all the preparation was not really needed. He had his ultrasound and he does indeed have pyloric stenosis, but we caught it so early that there was no mad dash to the OR. Instead I was shocked to be told that we had an appointment with a surgeon in the morning for a consult. So that's where we are right now- consult in the morning and hopefully surgery tomorrow or the next day. I really can't imagine them waiting any longer because as we watched on the ultrasound no food was passing out of his stomach. But he is still having wet diapers and looking ok so he isn't de...

Prayers Please

Debbie just called me from Williamson Medical where Henry just had an ultrasound that confirms Henry has pyloric stenosis. So, we are just waiting to see when they are going to schedule the surgery. Hopefully it will be today as the doctor said the ultrasound showed that no food was getting to the stomach. I will update when I get more information.~ Shannon
