Here are some pictures of the boys in their costumes. Jonah was a natural trick-or-treater. He filled his elmo bucket to the brim. Lots of candy for Mommy!! :)

So far so good

I guess it is time for an update on how we are doing. It has been an adjustment getting used to two kids instead of one, but I think we are doing pretty well. Jonah still loves his little brother and I have to watch him very carefully to make sure he is not dragging him out of his swing or bouncer, or pulling his arm out of socket. He is getting to be such a big boy. He has started trying to count. He usually says one...two...three.....nine! It is really cute. Sam is getting bigger and filling out nicely. You will see from the pictures he has nice big pinchable cheeks! We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend and had a great time. Jonah rode his first pony like a pro. The whole time he just kept saying Horse, Neigh over and over again. That is about all that is going on here. Is everyone all stocked up on their halloween candy?

Samuel Joseph Asher is here!

He actually decided not to wait to be induced. I ended up timing contractions through the Wed. night invitation. I guess he felt like he had some confessing to do because he responded to the invitation and came at 12:38 Thursday morning. He was 6 lbs 12 oz which seems downright tiny since his brother was 8 lbs 3 oz when he was born. He is a wonderfully content and laid back baby which is great because Jonah wants to be in his face loving on him constantly! He could not be happier and thinks that Sam is his baby. Here are a few pictures. I don't know when I will get around to posting more.

FINALLY!!!

My bathroom is complete! My wonderful parents came into town last week and helped us finish this project! A lot of the demo started in September of last year and we are just now finishing! While he was here my dad asked how many hours we thought went into that bathroom. The truth is I have no idea... A LOT! But it is done and I think it looks great! And the best part is now being able to shower on the main floor!!!! No more hauling Jonah up to the second story with me. Anyway, I will share a few pictures with you all....not that you care, but I am so excited! Before During After

New pictures

I think it is time for some new pictures! Jonah has recently taken interest in coloring. Andy and I especially get a kick out of the face he makes when trying to take the lid off of his markers. I also have pictures of him with his first worm. The experience ended with the worm being pulled into two pieces. Nice.

Note to DIYers everywhere!!!

When you decide to re-tile your bathroom you should A: try not to be six months pregnant and have a watermelon constantly in your way when you drop the spacers into the tub. And B: choose something significantly larger than subway tile. I seriously underestimated how time consuming this project would be. The good news is that this is the last major project on the main floor of our house. After that we move on to the laundry room in the basement and after that, hopefully we will be remodeling the second floor. I wish I could say I saw the end in sight....but I would be lying! We have had a crazy week so far around here. It is vacation bible school week. The people who put this together clearly put a lot of effort into it and it has been great so far! I wish I could say Jonah was going to remember any of it. He is really learning to like bible class and always asks about it when we walk into the church building now. He is also learning the names of some of his friends which is so swee...

Earthquake!!!

As you may have read on a couple of other blogs by now we had an earthquake last night! Andy and I both woke up at about 4:30 and the whole house was shaking. I had no clue what was going on and Andy got up and said "I think we just had an earthquake." Now, having lived in the midwest pretty much my whole life and earthquake was just not on the list of things I ever thought I would experience. Anyway, the center was about 127 miles away so we weren't in any danger, but now I can say that I have experienced one! Andy had to jump right up and catch the news to figure out if he was right and I decided to join him. Do you know what kind of stupid news is on at 4:30 am???? I had to watch a story about a featherless bird who still likes to call himself "pretty bird". Who gets up to watch this stuff????Anyway, that is all that is going on here. Anyone else wake up to rattling dishes last night?

Another boy!

Yep, we had our ultrasound yesterday and we are going to have another little boy. I am so excited that Jonah will have a little brother to play with. I am a little worried about my poor house if I get another one anything like Jonah but I think it will survive. I had a feeling it was going to be a boy but Andy was so shocked. He was convinced this one was a girl. He isn't disappointed, just surprised. It is such a nice feeling to know that we already have pretty much everything we need. April is going to be a busy month for us. We have a lot of visitors come to town. I am so excited to see my sisters and nephew in the next week or so! That is about all that is going on right now. I am posting a couple of cute pictures of Jonah. For some reason he is obsessed with putting his socks on his hands right now. He pulls them off of his feet and holds out his hands for me to put them there. And I have no idea why he didn't have any clothes on in these. Daddy took them!:)

Bye-Bye Winter!

I have been ready to say this for months!!! I know that we will probably still have our fair share (or more) of cold days, but Spring is officially here and I could not be more thrilled. For one thing my son has recently become obsessed with going outside or "da". I have no idea why that is the word for outside. It has been way too cold for that most days until this past week and when I would have to open the door to let the dog out and he didn't get to go out it ended in a meltdown every time. So I am happy for both of us that we can get out of the house and go do some fun things "da" now!We got to go visit close friends and family last week and Joel and Jonah had a great time together! Joel is getting so big and impresses me more and more every time I see him. Let's just say Jonah has a tough act to follow! :) In other news, we are still working on the house. I hope it is done some day soon. Poor Andy is so tired of it at this point, but I am sure it will all be...
