Garage Sale

So I was up at 7:30am on Friday and went non stop until 6:00pm Saturday night, I slowed down b/c we went to a Bible Study :o) I did not get to bed till 10:30pm on Sat. night. That really made for a LONG day! But it was worth it. There were a few boxes that I did not get to go through to put out in the garage sale but overall we got a lot out of the house and we had a great turn out even though it was 35 degrees outside! It took me a long time to thaw out after being outside from 4:30 am till 5:30pm:o) I should have layered a little more....you live, you learn. The boys enjoyed putting their money in their piggybanks last night. They of course turned it into a race:o)We are having some neighbors over for dinner tonight, I must clean this house of chaos!! Have a Marvelous Monday:o)Update: 10:10pm tonightWe did not have company b/c Nick's car broke down again, the 2nd time in 3 days. We had to cancel dinner and I had to run to the parts store and then help Nick, we ended ...

Aircraft Electrical and Environmental System Apprentice

My husband's new title! His job sounds a lot cooler than his title...he is very excited about what all he will be doing:o)Nick is leaving Dec 30th and will be gone for 8 weeks, then we will meet him where he will be training at Shepherd AirForce base in TX for 19 weeks. The boys and I will have to get an apartment off of base (just like college. augh) and then when he is done training, the airforce will move us as a family to our station. It is going to be VERY hard at first, but it will be worth it.We are still trying to finish up the house so hopefully we can get it sold before he leaves...which makes me very happy b/c I thought I was going to have to do that by myself. God is taking care of us in more ways than we can see!Hope everyone is well and enjoying this cooler weather!

This entry is dedicated to Uncle Daniel!

Bryce knows which movies Uncle Daniel gave him and which ones did not come from Uncle Daniel. You can not trick him! If he asked for a movie from Uncle Daniel then you better not just grab the first movie you come across, you have to find one from Uncle Daniel. This leads to me to my little story:o)The other night, Nick hopped in the shower and Bryce came to me asking for a movie from Uncle Daniel (I cannot not type it as cute as he says it:o) So I put one in and after a while Nick gets out of the shower and goes in the living room...I am in the kithen, listnening in...."Daddy! I'm watching 'Pigs are Short' from Uncle Daniel!" We got a big laugh!!! Can you gues which movie, Uncle Daniel? :o) Quickpost this image to Myspace, Digg, Facebook, and others!

Tonight was tearful...

Nick reads the Bible everynight and Bryce climbs in bed with him to listen. Jacob's death was included in the reading tonight. Bryce realized that if Joseph's daddy died then his daddy could die. They talked a long time through Bryce's tears and I went in for a while and talked about why we go to worship and study about God and Jesus and wanting to obey them so we can go to heaven together and there will be no more death. Kevin was getting upset from Bryce's crying so I went and laid down with Kevin till he went to sleep, then I heard through the tears, Bryce's little voice saying "Does that mean my mommy will die too?" He sobbed. We talked about how normally, people die when they are very old and that mommy and daddy are very young so we have a long time togther, if God wills it. But while we are together, we must love each other and be sweet to each other and have a very happy family. Bryce is doing much better now. But this was an emotionaly difficult evening for...

Can you guess what Bryce was saying? We are staying busy, not as busy as I need to be, I have not felt good for the past week and half but I determined today will be better...of course I said that yesterday, see how well it worked for me;o)I am having so much fun with my Usborne! I have 4 shows coming up in the next 2 weeks and am very excited about those. I am getting to meet more women with kids the same as mine.We celebrated Dad's 53rd b-day on Sunday. Mom had Nick's family and us over, I cooked chicken soup and sweet potato casserole (Dad's favorite) Mom fixed beans and rice and sliced tomatoes. We had a crazy mix for a meal! But we enjoyed it:o)We have blue skies again!! Yesterday, I took the boys to the park for 2 hours and then Daddy took them again after supper while I worked around the house. The boys loved it!Well, I must get back to it! Have a great one!Answer: Binoculars :o)

It is Time For a New Adventure!

Our plans are out in the open now. We talked with his parents and my parents tonight, so now it is ok to tell everyone else;o)Nick is going into the Air Force! He may be leaving for boot camp in 2 weeks or 6 weeks, we are not sure yet. And then, the boys and I will join him later. I will be trying to sell the house in the time being and packing. His bootcamp is in San Antonio, Tx and his training will be in Buloxi, MS. We will join him there after the house sells. We will not be able to live with him on base though. It will be just like college...he will have a curfew and sleep in another building...yuck! BUT, as soon as training is over, the Air Force will move us as a family to another base for 4 years at a time. He is going in to be an Air Traffic Controller...which he had planned to be before we ever met...it just didn't work out with Bryce suprising us right before we were going to go for Nick's schooling (I was going to work to support us while he was in school, but ...
