*another update*

FYI TODAY FROM SARAH CHANDLER:_______________________________Hey Everyone,Just heard from Pam. Suzanna and Mary Ann will be going home later this afternoon/evening. Sarabeth is going to have to stay behind for a few days. She is doing fine but just not quite where they need her to be so she's going to be hanging out at EAMC for a few more days. If I understand all this correctly that means Mary Ann will be traveling back up to the hospital every other feeding, (about 5 to 6 hours), to continue nursing Sarabeth. Hopefully Sarabeth will continue making progress and hopefully speed up the progress a little bit so they won't have to do that for too many days. No guess yet as to when she might be able to come home but she is doing fine. I wasn't able to get details as to why the situation changed from letting Mary Ann and Suzanna hang out in the room but my guess would be that the hospital probably needed the room. Last night when I left the hospital the maternity waiting r...

Update on Suzanna and Sarabeth!!!

Hey all-This is Erica again. I wanted to update this for Mary Ann so that everyone knows what is going on with the girls in case you didn't already know. Saturday night late Sarabeth was put back on an IV for low blood sugar and put in an isolette because she was unable to maintain her body temperature and Sunday Suzanna was put on phototherapy for jaundice. Here is the updates that I've gotten today on them:Sarah Chandler sent me an e-mail today letting me know that Mary Ann has been released as a patient from the hospital and that Suzanna was put into her room and Mary Ann is considered a "guest" of hers. They are hoping that within the next few days that Suzanna can be released as a "patient" and that Sarabeth will be able to go into that room and that Mary Ann and Suzanna can be the "guests" of her. (I hope this is all making sense.) Sarah said that Mary Ann is hoping that they can go home either Saturday or Sunday, but nothing is definite. ...

Character

We visited the Davis family the other day and had a wonderful time as always. As we were sitting around Mitch started telling us about a word study that he had been doing on the word character and it has just stuck with me so I had to share. (I hope I do the explanation justice Mitchell). Apparantly the original word character meant the same as engrave. So when we see the character of Christ it is the same as seeing the character of God. When we see an engraving it depicts whatever the engraver had in mind. To get to that point he has to remove what is not needed or wanted to get the desired result. For us to get the character that we are striving for we must remove unwanted "material" from our hearts/minds. For all of you Fayetteville folks you may have heard this (I think it was part of a sermon) but I just thought it was very thought provoking. Nothing that we don't all know just said in a very practical concrete way.As for family news we are adjusting to the id...

Jesse, Andy, and...........

OK everybody. Here is our big news. The boys are going to have a baby.....sister. There is only one catch. She is not coming alone.....Yep. That's right. We are having twin girls. It was a really good thing that I was laying on a table when the tech broke the news to us. I really did not think that my shock level could exceed the day I found out I was expecting. That just goes to show we should never, ever, say never. Some of you will get a kick out of the fact that Jimmy was speechless. In our 11 years of marriage I have not seen that happen very often. He will be such a wonderful daddy to little girls. The good Lord knows our needs so I am sure that He will be with us through this new phase of our lives. Any one out there with good books to read about twins let me know. I am feeling the need to read! I think my bible is definitely the place to start. It is hard to see an ultrasound without the verse I am fearfully and wonderfully made continuing to pop into my mind.

The JOYS of Parenthood

Hip Hip Hooray Hip Hip Horay!!! That was the sound in my house last night as Anderson Lloyd Roberts went poo poo on the potty by himself. Yes folks you heard it correctly he did it while I was cooking dinner!!! Now don't get too excited. The success was short lived as I have changed 3 poopy pull ups today. Despite this I am sure that we are on the way to big boy underwear. (Don't you just love the parent vernacular??? you just don't envision yourself saying those kinds of things to all the world until it becomes of vital importance for your child to not be the one who isn't potty trained!! :) ) Anyway, as a celebration we went as a family with Sarah Chandler( Aunt SaSa) to snow biz last night! All else is fine in the Roberts world. Any suggestions on how to make the break from pull ups to underwear. With Jesse I just let him go around naked for a few weeks. I can't do that here at a rental house.......

It's about time!

Hi all. I know it has been a while but I have been feeling very sentimental towards all of my Fayettevill/Newnan sisters. I just wanted to take the time to say that I love and miss you all. I have a horrible habit of "putting off til tomorrow" and am going to try to be better about it.For a little Roberts' update (you will have to wait for pics until Kristyn comes to see me and teaches me how AGAIN but verbage I can handle). Jesse is officially a preschool graduate and a tee ball fanatic. He love to play and his last game is tomorrow night. He keeps telling me that he has to win to get a trophy. I don't have the heart to tell him that they don't even keep score. Anyway, he loves it and in the process we have met a really nice Christian family who attends a tiny congregation in town and their son and Jesse seem to have really hit it off. On a funny note he told me recently when asked if he wanted a brother or a sister that he did not care if it was a boy or a girl ...

MOVING FOR DUMMIES OR AT LEAST PACK RATS

We are in! If you were to come visit (a blanket invitation) the Roberts clan it would look fairly acceptable except for a sprinkling of boxes. I especially like the one that is in front on Andy's bed to keep him from rolling out at night. ( We took the front side of his bed off to help transition him to sleeping in a real bed...what were we thinking?) When you would become acutely aware that things were not so good is if you were to ask me for items such as my lamps, pillow case, iron, curtains.... You get the idea. Also for the brave of heart you could venture into our garage. Some of you would say ha! I have been in your garage it is no neat orderly place but not a place for fear. Actually I am pretty sure that we will have to give a medal of honor to anyone who would be willing to venture out there. Scott Perkins a friend down here will be receiving one at a quiet ceremony later this month...oh wait that was for eating my cooking. Anyway I say all of this to say that we ha...

Still missing everyone. love to all and WAR EAGLE (especially to Julie, Melia and Carly). really just to you Allie Poo.
