Tough Two year old

Well Jonathan was pretending to preach at church with a class room podium yesterday morning. I suppose he got a little excited. He and the podium fell. And the podium fell right now his little hand :-( His little hand swelled super fast! But fairly shortly after he was back to playing ( just with one hand though) I took him to the doc and she looked at it and sent us to a orthopedic doc right away. Yup it is broken! Infact it did not take a trained eye at all to tell that on the x ray... definitely broken :-(Kids can be so tough! he complained very little for having a BROKEN bone. The doc said "congrats it is FIRST break". I then replied "I hope it is his last."the doc then said " well he is active right?..." some humor in the situation After he got the cast he was SOO excited and said he is a storm trooper and has armor on his arm :-)

Walmart

Today I decided to venture out and do my biweekly grocery shopping.... WITH my two little ones. I have gone to walmart with them both a few times before but not yet to do my BIG shopping.I figured it was time I figure out how to do this. (On a side note it may have not been a good idea to attempt this on a rainy and already exhausting day.) All went great during the shopping Ethan was half awake half asleep but happy. Jonathan was in the cart and doing pretty well only almost fell out a few times :-) We get to the check out and things begin to go south. Ethan is getting fussy, Jonathan's energy is about to bust out of his body and I have a ton of things yet to pay for. But we manage. I pay for the groceries and hurry out to the car because I know my patients may break at any moment. We survived. I knew I just needed to push through and learn to do it and hopefully each time will get easier and easier. The only thing is I did leave a couple items after paying for them: slice...

Add something else to my bag.

We have had a eventful last few days.Early Thursday morning( about 3 AM ) Jonathan woke up moaning, coughing and wheezing. by morning he really was having difficulty catching his breath, and was very unhappy. So I took him to the doctor. The nurse came in first to see him and normally she leaves and then we wait and wait for the doctor to come in, well not this time. The nurse walked out and very shortly the doctor came in.Apparently Jonathan had been having a Asthma attack. I thought he was having some yucky bug , and had not even considered it to be asthma. He is currently taking steroids and a breathing treatment every four hours. We have been in and out of the doctor tons the last few days. We go back to the doc Tuesday so she can make sure he is doing better. We don't know how bad his asthma will be. Apparently the attack was pretty severe. I am hoping it will just be a once every blue moon problem but fear it may be more. The next few months will tell as asthma problems...

WEll Today is day one of reality. My mom has left and now I must learn how to manage on my own.... It is 10:40am and so far so good. :-)9:00pmWell the day is almost done and I survived. And actually it was not so hard. Both boys were good today and the weather was wonderful outside so we were able to run some of Jboys energy off outside which I am sure contributed to us having a good day :-) I even did a little cleaning and most of the Laundry... yipee!!
