MID WEEK

Well, we had a great weekend. My middle son had his 7th birthday and the party was a complete hit. It was at the local park and was the cheapest party that I believe we have ever thrown in the history of my children's birthday parties. That just goes to show that you don't have to spend a lot of money for them to have a blast. We could not get the kids to leave. It was after 8pm before we started rapping things up. They played sssooo hard. He had more fun this year than ever. Here';s the catch...he got a fish from one of our friends. Well, when they brought the fish, they got it all ready ( in the car) and put it into the little aqaurium so that he could see it when they walked up. Sounds good so far doesn't it. NOT!!!! They didn't realize that BETA fish do not thrive well in distilled water and the once BLUE fish was ashy gray this AM. Not a pleasant morning I assure you. So, off my mom and I went this AM to PETCO and God made sure that this awesome young man gave me a QUICK schoolin...

YEAH!!!!

Okay..so the drama has begun to cease at our home. Things are getting back to normal, if our house every falls under that category. Ha Ha As most of you know, Christopher started middle school this past year and I was ssoooo nervous about the whole different school, not close to home, being exposed to different children that are from totally different homelives than the one he has been brought up in. NOT that our homelife is perfect but...let's face it, some of these kids are from rough, tough, just down right SCARY homes. BUT>>>>he brought home his 1st progrees report last night and he has Honor Roll and straight A's in Conduct(not that behavior is an issue) he usually is very nice and saves that all up for ME!!!! Heehee But, I would rather he perform well at school and act out for me any day. I am so proud of him, he is even spearheading a campaign and running for a Student Government Executive Position. He did his speech this AM on the morning show and I was all teary...

READY FOR THE WEEK...

OK...we are ready. I think anyhow. We have had such as eventful week. We now have the "girl" in our family that we never had before. My boys are loving life right now. One of Christopher's friends.."HAYLEE"...is living with us for a while. She really has a terrible home life and we love her so much. Things are awful for her at home and her family is now..HOMELESS. Well, the grandfather kind of took them in but there are 7 of them in 1 bedroom and he told the mo her would give them 1 week, well all of the children are just cruel to her and things got bad at cheerleading practice the other day and the coaches called me out of work to settle her down because the mom was just being not nice. So, it all escalated when I got there and needless to say, I pulled the card of..."You really are probably breaking the law having 7 people in 1 bedroom and 1 of then being a 14 yr old boy with 4 younger girls and 2 adults." So, she didn't really put up a fight when I told...

WHOOOOO!!!!

Well, today Christopher, (my oldest) made weight for the football game certification. WHOOOO!!!! That was a total stress lifter this morning. We have been battling that all week long. The game was a total success, he was the STARTING Center, which he was the last 2 years, but this year there was another young man that Christopher had to compete for the spot against. They won...48-0 Talk about a great game. Oh, and by the way...I did not let Jacob sign up this year, we had such a terrible time with his asthma last year and I took him out, however, this year at every one of Christopher's practices, Jacob plays with these little boys...well, that coach keeps asking Michael to let him play this year. I keep of course blowing them off each week. Today, he brought papers to the big kids games and went up to Michael and said, please sign him up, we need him...so, he is starting Tuesday evening....ok...lets give it a shot....his asthma is under great control. So, here we go TITANS!!!!! WISH M...

TOUGH WEEK

Well, for those of you who know my family history..this one takes the cake. Jacob, who last year was admitted Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec for poorly controlled asthma has been AWESOME for 8 months now with not one flare up!!!! Then, we had a little "freeby" get away last weekend and we came home to a monster of issues. Jake kept complaining of jaw pain and I looked in his mouth and he seemed to be getting his 6 year old molars. They were really swollen and red. I gave him Tylenol( remember he has an anaphylactic reaction to Motrin). Well, he stopped complaining. A few days later, he was at swim team and he told the swim coach his ear hurt, so I told my mom to bring him up to see Dr. V and she did. He said that he had swimmer's ear. We treated with ear drops for 5 days. 2 days later, we were at the Hudson's and he was not playing at all with the kids, he said his ear hurt again. At church...his teacher came and got me out of class and said, he really looks like he is in pain. ...

SUMMER

Well, this is the time for water parks, theme parks, beaches and pools. Or, at least for me and my family here in Florida. This has been a great summer in the water because this year I can sit and watch all 3 boys play and jump in and out of the pool without having to hold onto the youngest. ALL of them are great little swimmers and I am relaxing. The youngest, Alex is already jumping off of the cliffs at our water parks and the diving board at the pool where my 2 older boys do swim team. IT IS WONDERFUL!!! Our newest family amusement is ROCKBAND, if any of you are familiar. It is where you can have 1 person playing electric guitar and the ohers are either playing drums or singing vocals in the microphone...all through the XBOX. And to think that I hated that XBOX thing. :) It actually is good for something. Our bible class now is...His needs...Her needs...what an awesome class. It has been the best thing in our marriage. Myself included and a few others have asked about this for several...

TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY

Well, to those still wondering..yes, he did break his foot. However, he is still able to go to camp. We opted for the waterproof cast, so he can still participate in the swimming activities. Hello, they have a wavepool and a lazy river. I could not say no to the waterproof and make him miss out on all of that. But...I had to change his activities from: Baseball, kickball, football, basketball and soccer to //umm... batik art, balloon art, board games, sign language and ductigami. Sign language he has done for 3 years and loves it, ductagami he did last year and seemed impressed, but the others...well, at least it is air conditioned activities. LOL :) Anyway, been at wal-mart and target more than I wanted the last few days getting things all packed up for him. I am hoping that this year we will have a NICE AND EASY clean break before the tears. So far, he seems really excited. Wish us luck and pray for me and April, we are taking 5 kids to Gainesville by ourselves, whooo... after the ...

FC CAMP

OK>>>here we go again. 4th year at this and this time every year I feel like the world's WORST mom. My oldest has about 7 days left until camp, which ...this year will be quite different..this year instead of Leesburg, we have to drive him to Gainesville. He is getting really nervous AGAIN, but he ends up loving the week and has a great time EVERY YEAR. So, we are trying to get his clothes and items together this weekend. Want the drawback, normally, he is closer than what he will be this year, I am taking him in this afternoon for an x-ray because we think that he broke his foot at Vacation Bible School this week, so..that will put a BIG, HUGE damper on his week. This year, they have their own zoo, horseback riding, go-carts, lake, putt-putt and much more, if he ends up with a cast. I am not sure that he will enjoy himself. So..if the x-ray shows up that it is broken, do I send him or do I cancel for this year??? HELP!!!!!
