spending way too much time on computer

Ok - my neck goes out of whack when I do.I don't get things done!!!! (that need doing - like cleaning out the attic)But I like reading all these posts...But I guess I should pay attention to what this video said, "Stop it!" and go get ready for frozen berry and jam sales.I'm not caught reading all those posts yet though. But soon she and she will be home for turkey (which, by the way, is coming from Gozzi's in Guilford). And I'm thankful she is doing ok and resting and should be able to drive today. And I'm very glad she is coming home for xmas and new year time.Maybe I'll arrange for some snow then. What do you think? About 2 weeks worth? Let's do it!

Posting thoughts, readings, etc.

Uhhhh. I had some ideas for a new post which I posted later at the end of this, but first that video below is really something. As I watched this uninhibited guy (well maybe only uninhibited in front of a private video without real people in his location and time watching him) look totally foolish and funny, it made me think of our President-elects questionaire for potential government employees that I heard about yesterday on the radio. From what I understand, former Senator Obama is asking if you have ever sent embarassing emails or videos. I think this one comes under that description. Do you think that fellow has any idea how far his face may travel? Then again, perhaps he is thrilled by that thought of fame!My other posting thoughts: I'm beginning to read Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People." She and she have recommended it in the past. Very interesting and very applicable words. I'm still in the first chapter - the 2nd reading - because I'm foll...

More thoughts

I just clicked to "recent" as I logged onto pleo -she had started me clicking there sometimes. He has a link on one of his more recent posts entitled "How to teach your child to dress" - Go check it out if you think my words about bridal attire are too strict. I'd like to show that video to young girls across the country. And since I'm not going to figure out how to post a link to a video right now, here is the web address:http://edwincrozier.wordpress.com/2008/10/28/teach-your-daughter-how-to-dress/

Short entry, based on thoughts inspired by two special blogs -

Hers and hers. What are these thoughts? They are mostly about how we as Christians exhibit our values through our daily lives during our walking in (but not of) the world. During my "car time" today, I was re-listening to "Influence of Women in the Marketplace" by someone whose name I can't remember but spoke at the 2008 FC lectures. She did a wonderful job as she expressed how God's impact on our lives should never be hidden nor doubted by those who see us walking daily.Meghan's thoughts made an impact on me because I've heard the thought expressed that this life is a "dress rehearsal" for heaven, but I like the way she uses Christ's description of a feast and applies the invitation to the here and now.Elizabeth has put beautiful photos on her blog - two young people beginning their journey as one in this life. I am so impressed by the contrast between their wedding and so many others today. Not only the beautiful bride's dress and lovely attendan...

A bit teary but thankful thoughts

Ok Alyssa he (she?) is now down farther; but you wait... I might remember how to post another photo. And mousie is so alive looking, just pretend he wasn't really instantaneously killed!Addding a bit of a comical edit here because of requests for the election survival kit contents.- They are great! (and tasty and funny too)Sweet little signs of red and blue tied with rustic-type twine onto a variety of very appropriate gifts and put into a decorated brown paper bag.gifts and accompanying signs include: - a package of frozen waffles "in case you decide to waffle" - a package of tissues "in case you lose" - two kazzoo type horns with red and blue streamers "to blow if you win" - a package of pretzels to "chew on if you are nervous" (I like pretzels!) - a package of homemade brownies "chocolate makes everything better" - Oh Yeah! (Craig liked too) *** What a fun idea from a secret sister!***Now for my substance post on this ...

Have to keep this entry short so little perky down there is still visible!

He (she?) really is a cute little fellow. So maybe I should be sorry (as I chuckle gleefully at his fate), but I'm not. I just think he is cute (and dead). And so enjoy hearing other mouse stories (not so much about rats - ewww!)Great Lord's Day today. I'm thankful and have loved being with different parts of our Lord's body today.I need to do another picture though - I received the funniest secret sister present tonight; it is an "Election Survival Kit!" I'll have to describe it or photograph it for you all - but I'm already enjoying the chocolate!

I'm proud! Please go congratulate her :)

And if Mr. Berry had a blog that he used you could congratulate him too. He has caught 3 mice now. I just went upstairs to look for the red velvet but instead found a little creature staring perkily over the edge of the wire of the trap. He (she?) was dead. I'm glad.I don't move mice from traps - Mr. Berry is a very good trapper and must collect from his own trap line.Which reminds me of the first weekend I visited his family. Some of you know that story of the woodchuck.

I checked the traps - nothing ... yet ...

Well almost nothing, the peanut butter is gone from one mouse trap. The others are still there - I think in the same place. In the course of the day I made one Major Goof. Unfortunately it has happened before.Nothing burned today; I think that was yesterday (potatoes).Today, I started soaking something in the laundry room sink while loading the washer. And as at least a couple of my daughters know, that can be wet. Yup, I forgot the faucet was running again. I filled the sink. I filled underneath the sink. And I filled a lot of the floor. The cellar/basement also had some filled cardboard boxes that expanded with water.A mess.Mostly cleaned up now. And I'm getting a lot of towels washed today in addition to general laundry.Back to thrift shop sorting. Which reminds me. I admire my daughter #1 for seriously considering whether or not she wants to bring something new into her apartment and just doesn't add stuff because it is "nice." (there may be exceptions in reg...
