Working this evening at Stick Boy, a lady came in (Elaine), sayingthat she knew what she wanted to eat, saying that it is her comfortfood. I had a feeling, so I asked her what she needed it for today. She told me that she hadn't slept nor eaten since yesterday when hernephew had been in a serious accident. She had spent all daycontacting churches asking for prayers for her nephew and his family. We sat down, and she told me how this last Friday night around 7pm,Matthew, a little 4 year old, was playing with water squirt guns witha neighbor child on one side of the house. Brad, the boy's mother'sboyfriend (Matthew is her ex-husband and her's son) was mowing the lawnon the next side of the house... and they met at the corner. They lifeflighted him to a hospital and said that the boy's foot could havebeen saved had his leg not been so mangled, so they had to amputatehis leg high above the knee.Elaine asked us to pray for this family in a few different ways:1.
Hey all,Name something that was significant to you in school--preschool through graduate--that was either negative or positive. Cafeteria doesn't count, sorry. And also maybe some stuff that affected you in your youth, like learning to ride a bike, a bully that intimidated you, or a story of that nature. I'm writing and need inspiration. And at no cost to you! Thanks, I really appreciate it you guys... post as many things as you can think of.

Thoughts of my heart

I am planning how to paint/arrange my new room at my sister's house when they get their extension built. It will be awesome!I've discovered that the plans I make aren't necessarily plans that I feel I absolutely need to complete, but are just made to have some possible course of action laid prepared before me until I think of something better or something different comes along. So, If I tell you about something in the long run I plan to do, know that I do plan to do it, but I am not feeling obligated to be held to that. Things may change, and I am totally cool with that and even look forward to doing it. I almost have as much fun planning exertions as I do actually doing them. So sure, I had planned to live in Britain, but then Scotland was better. Scotland is pretty cool, but nieces and nephews are more important. Sure babies are awesome, but they can do without me if I go back to FC. FC would be fun, but it would be even better timing and placing for school in Greece ...

3 jobs and Blueberry Oatmeal Bread

I want to post something, but my keyboard is breaking.I want to eat, but there is nothing appealing.I want to have more hours, but I already have 3 jobs.I want to write more in my book, but my imagination is lacking.I want to hang out, but everyone is always busy.I want, I want, I want. Me, me, me. Ugh. There is more to life than me! Actually most life consists of NOT me.Then why do I keep tending to think of myself so much?Because I am locked in this slowly sagging bag of red mush and white sticks!Heaven will be so good. Why are we focused so much on the roadside exit entertainments when we should be giving everyone the right directions?
