I think it's time to update! Or should I say.. past time!

We are moved and settled into our new house. We are finishing off the 3rd floor and hope to be using it by the end of this month. Yea!! Finally, I will be able to get to set up my sewing machine and we can set up J's drums, piano, and recording equipment. Work is still very busy as always. I put in over 40 hours this week and am so ready for the weekend. Next week should be better, hopefully! But anytime there is payroll, I'm busy. Marching band is almost over and that's definitely something to celebrate! My car is always in D and on E. J has practice 3 days a week, has had games on Friday night and Saturdays are competitions. This past Saturday, their band won the overall competition. WooHoo! J was super excited and we were very proud of him and the whole band. They leave for Indy next Thursday and will be back Sunday. Hopefully they will do well there! Now he's begging to do winter percussion.. however, I'm not wanting to fork out another $1000 again. I think he ...

Latest and Greatest

Our house is still for sale. We have made a proposal to a potential buyer in that they would pay down half of what we are asking, pay us for two years with interest, and then have to pay us the remaining balance in 24 months. If they were to default, then we would keep all money paid to us. They can not get a loan at this point since they had been self employed and loan companies are so particular about who gets loans and who doesn't with the economy the way it is. After talking to my dad and a couple of others, all thought it was a great idea.. therefore, we put in the proposal last night. At this point.. just waiting. We have picked out another house and have a contingency on it which is only a few miles up the road. The new house will have 4 bedrooms and an unfinished bonus. Then we will finish off the bonus as we need it right away. The house has a lot of perks.. it has a fenced in back yard, sodded front and back yard with irrigation system installed, screened in back po...

Here's what's new...

This past weekend was busy as always. I'm not sure which is worse, the weekends or the week. We had only one showing on the house this past weekend but it sounds promising. They loved the house and the garage, the kitchen was a little smaller than they wanted (no kidding it's to small for me too) but it's #2 on their list! So that's exciting! We are still waiting to hear from the showing from this past Wednesday. The couple loved the house and the yard but they had two other houses to look at before making their final decision. But our house was definitely top on their list. Our house will be on the market 3 weeks tomorrow and so far we've had about 12-15 showings.. I've lost count. We had 4 showings in one day last weekend. One of the houses we liked is now under contract so unfortunately we lost out on that one but there are still a few others we like. Work is busy! I hired a new employee and I spent last week training her which kind of puts me behind on my own work. ...

What's new?

I'm just sitting here waiting for my paper shredder to cool off. Apparently I have overheated it with all I've been shredding. I've been needing to clean out my filing cabinet and get ready for the new year and I've finally gotten around to it.My latest test results came back. Still in complete remission! Yea!! However, at the moment I'm feeling super yucky because I think I took too much of my medicine tonight. I couldn't remember if I had taken my pill or not (which normally I have a good system down) so I took one thinking it's ok if I did take two because I used to have to take two but now I KNOW I must have taken both. From the way I feel, I think I had already take one. I don't miss 800 mg at all!!!! Ok.. feeling much, much better now even though throwing up is not fun! This past week we packed our house up to "de-clutter" as they say on HGTV and our house is officially on the market. We are so excited and hope it sells soon :-)Well I'm off to get some ...

Busy, busy, busy!

Guess what.. I've been busy! Work has been insane lately since the start of the new year. We have had SO many people registering for classes for the winter/spring sessions. I can't even begin to tell you how many registrations I have processed but I've gotten behind on other things. I looked at my work email today and I had 93 emails when I left work that I've yet to address. I was checking emails tonight but my hubby wasn't to happy with me working at home since I had already put in 9 hours today. So tomorrow my baby gets his braces on. My oldest just got his off almost 3 months ago and we are starting over again. Thank goodness for dental insurance!!! Plus Jason really needs braces so he has an appointment tomorrow to see what he needs to do. More than likely he will have to have a couple of teeth pulled to make room.. not fun!! Robyn, had to have emergency surgery yesterday after being bitten by a squirrel on Saturday. She woke up yesterday a.m. with a fever and bein...

Happy Birthday!!

Today is my youngest child's birthday! It's hard to believe he's 12! Time has really flown by. Unfortunately he came home early from school yesterday with the stomach bug. He seems to be doing much better today after resting all a.m. This afternoon he got a Nintendo Wii when his brother got home from school. We haven't seen much of him since. Tomorrow we will celebrate some of our family.

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone enjoyed their New Year's eve! I've truly enjoyed my super long break from work (11 days including weekends), but I guess all good vacations must come to an end. Back to the old grind tomorrow for all four of us. It will be extremely tough getting up at 5:30 a.m. since I've not had to do that for quite sometime but it will be nice to get back to some normalcy. January doesn't look as busy as December did thankfully! I think in December we had something to do every single night and every weekend was busy. My calendar doesn't look as quite as bad this month. But we will hit the ground running tomorrow.Friday is my baby's birhtday! He's turning 12 years old that day. Yikes!!! One more year and I'll have two teenagers. Wow does time fly!!!! We are going to celebrate this weekend. Friday night we will eat whatever he wants for dinner and he will get his gifts from my hubby and me and his brother. On Saturday, we are going to have lunch at Lonestar Steakhouse with ...
