We chose a campsite right next to the river and the canyon. There was also a great tree right next to us that Franklin called the tarantula tree. It had limbs in all directions close to the ground. Plenty of climbing fun! Low: While setting up camp we realize that the tent is not in the box. Matt drives 30 minutes to a store that thankfully has 2 itty-bitty tents for sale. High: Gorgeous weather and peaceful environment. Low: Upon returning from the tent store we see that we have a flat tire. We have no spare. We call my Dad (who is the most helpful person you will ever meet if I haven't mentioned that before) and he starts a search for a spare that he can buy and bring out to us. We have no cell service so calling my dad meant a $10 collect call. High: A campfire, roasting turkey/soy dogs and marshmallows, watching the stars, etc. General camping fun with the kids. If people do not start supporting 3rd party candidates then no, a 3rd party candidate will not ever win. You CAN make your voice be heard by voting for someone that is the type of person you'd like to have in office... even if he is not on the ticket or likely to win. However, I wasn't sure if some people were in costume or just weird looking. Franklin's t-ball tournament ended today. They made it to the championship game and came in second. It was exciting but tiring. They played 2 games in a row, straight through lunch time. Not well planned and possibly the reason we lost the final game. The other team had 2 hours of rest. However, they also had a star player. With 5-6 year olds, basically if a player on your team can actually catch the ball, you're gonna win. I really don't have much more to share. Things around here have been busy lately and my house and my brain are suffering.
