You know, I've heard Obama referred to as a breath of fresh air. I greatly disagree, but let me tell you THIS is a REAL breath of fresh air. I hate that I'm just now discovering him, but I'm agreeing greatly with what I'm seeing so far.

My Number Two Reason

I was home sick today, missing worship with my brothers and sisters. It's just a bad cold, I think, with a sore throat to boot. I'm miserable, to say the least. For the last few years my dad wrote these short...encouragment? articles? I'm not sure what you'd call them, but he'd write them on a postcard and mail them to people in the area and we were also on the mailing list. He called them 'To The Point'. My dad was a great writer and I'm so glad I have some of these to read and 'hear' him again. Anyway, before I tangent too badly, I came across this one the other day and I thought it was very encouraging to me. It rang home with me today when I wasn't able to worship with my brothers and sisters in Christ. ------ My Number Two Reason Agree or disagree? "It's Better To Be Alone Than To Be In Bad Company." I saw that on a church sign once, and it struck me as true. It stuck with me, too. Evil companions corrupt good morals [1 Corinthians 15:...

Well, I went about 5 days without pleo. There are a LOT of white names and group messages. I had 18 messages letting me know the grocery gamers group is still gaining speed. I'm really glad to have this avenue to catch up on the lives of dear friends. I just need to better regulate my time. Ok, goodnight. I'm bushed.

Julie's surgery went very well. They feel confident they got all the cancer, but are taking some samples to make sure. She'll be in the hospital for 4-5 days, I think. Thank you all for thinking of her and petitioning our God on her behalf.

I'm hosting a Pampered Chef party. If you're in the area or don't mind traveling to be in my area next Thursday night, drop in for food, fun, and cool kitchen stuff. If you can't make it, but feel the itch to get in some good kitcheny shopping you can go here to order - just please enter Rebekah Williams as your hostess. Because I'm in the groove here...here are my top 3 Pampered Chef items I use often in my kitchen -3) Quik-stir Pitchers Handy and dandy. We use the family sized one all the time for tea or for mixing up milk.2) Nylon scrapers Don't let its small size fool you. These are wonderfully handy.1) Stoneware Specifically the small bar pan is getting lots of use this summer. It fits in my toaster oven and I use that oven as often as I can in the summer to not heat up my kitchen so much. The coolest thing I've seen recently, that I'm hoping to get...The grill basketIt allows you to easily grill small things like shri...
