Kids are funny...

This morning I had the radio on, getting ready for Neal Boortz. The morning show guys were talking about President Elect Obama.Nathan: *gasp* I didn't know that they could say 'Obama' on the radio...Me: roflI had to explain that 'Obama' wasn't a bad word, and he wasn't necessarily a bad person, but it was his ideas that were the problem.Kids are hysterical. He seriously thought Obama was a bad word...lol.

Nathan Goes to see the Ent...er...ENT...

Friday Nathan will be having tubes inserted in his ears, as well as a tonsilectomy/adnoidectomy.I'm sure he'll be ok, but keep him and Jen in your prayers if you would, all the same.I probably won't be there, I'll most likely be getting back from my run Friday afternoon. This should fix his ear problem/sleep apnea/general grouchiness...hopefully.

Forgotten Logic

I don't get it.These bumper stickers that say 'Gas was 1.4~ when Bush took office!'You know what? A couple years before that gas was HALF of that. I was paying about 70 cents per gallon. So SOMETHING started driving the price up BEFORE Bush took office.Betcha won't see that on a bumper sticker.Perhaps just because it's too long for a normal sticker.Or maybe, it's inconvenient. It's easy to bash Bush, but I don't see how he has any real control over gas prices. The other day (maybe a week ago) gas prices were going down (and they still are) and I heard on the news that OPEC was having a fit and trying to come up with a way to keep the price of oil from dropping. We should dispwn OPEC. Or maybe just pwn them by drilling the crap out of our available resources. And not sell them any. Period. No oil exports. No oil imports. It's not the president who sets oil prices. It's the idiots we buy it from.UPDATE: This teacher should be fired. Beaten. Er, no, maybe just fired.

Another Contest update...

Looks like there’s another blog contest to pass on to everyone. Of course, I’ll have to admit I’m a little skeptical about this one. It seems that the prizes are just way too awesome. Hey, it’s worth an entry anyway, right?CouponCodesMall.com is giving away lots of prizes (according to the contest page, over $10,000 worth - which is why I’m skeptical). Of all the prizes, I think I’d like to win the $500 cash (if it in fact exists) so I can finally buy a laptop that is a bit more modern.Anyway, go check it out. It’s worth a shot.

On the road again.

I'm about to get ready to hit the road again. I've noticed that the more I ramble in my posts, the more people respond.Interesting...I've been asleep for a large part of the day, so maybe I can stay awake and make it to my first stop with enough time to catch a nap when I get there. It's 48 degrees outside. It's not much more than that here in the garage. *cold*Anyway, I'm gonna grab some MRE's and some clothes and hit the highway.Have a good few days, everyone!
