5, 77, and 17

What do these numbers have in common? They all have something to do with my visit to my primary care physician yesterday.5 - I lost FIVE pounds in one month!!! Woohoo!!! *doing the happy dance*77 - My cholesterol dropped by SEVENTY-SEVEN points in the same month!!! *does another happy dance* (I'm on a cholesterol medication - diet alone would not have dropped it that much.)17 - now this one is a little trickier. My doctor wants to see me again in a month, hopefully after (finally) having a sleep study done. As I was checking out, and the receptionist was making the appointment - I checked the calendar on my cell phone to see if I had any conflicts. He has some things for me to add to my ...

My tummy is very happy now. :)

A Christian's Responsibility

This color is called "obama." Very interesting. :)Regardless of how anyone voted, regardless of our personal feelings about the man who will be the next President of the United States, the Christian still has a responsbility and obligation to respect the man and the office. No matter the individual, the government is still established by God, and we are still subject to the "principalities and powers."I know there are some who will denigrate, insult, use derogatory nicknames, etc. in referring to President-elect Barack Obama. Before any of that leaves your mouth - think. Is that what Christ would say? If He was standing next to you, would you say what is about to come out of your mouth? If you said it and turned around to find Christ standing behind you - would you be ashamed?I know he may not be the popular choice among Christians, but Barack Obama is still our country's next leader. Let's show him the respect due.
