I don't know if they do this in other big markets (I bet they do), but he got me thinking about radio stations. It REALLY irritates me when the "NEW 93Q" goes ON AND ON about how KILT plays WAY (thousands per year) more commercials than they do! It really turns me off when they start all that. I have to wonder if they are comparing oranges to oranges. Do they count the commercials? or do they count the LENGTH of commercials? Maybe they play more, but they're SHORTER per ad?! And who is this ya-hoo they've got sitting around COUNTING the commercials anyway?? GET A LIFE! Anyway, it gets on my nerves...guess I'll just go listen to the BUZZ!

Well, yesterday we and my sisters-in-law & brothers tried to surprise my parents with a dual birthday party...we invited the whole church for a potluck. Well surprise was on us, when my mom, who has been sick all week, had to leave church early because she was coughing so much. Everyone turned around and looked at us like "what are we gonna do now?" So afterwards my brother was supposed to bring my dad home and they would pick up my mom and bring her over to my house, but instead he brought my dad straight over -- they were the SECOND ones there!! Surprise, surprise! Oh well, it was actually kind of funny, dad went home and got mom and they were still surprised about the whole thing -- they thought they were just coming for a family lunch. (well I guess it still was :)) We had a super good turnout, over 100 I'm sure, and unlike myself, I forgot to take any pics! (hint, hint)So here's my advice for all you pot-luck planners out there -- be more specific -- I bet we ...

Optimism

I've been trying to tell people all along that God is in control and nothing is REALLY gonna change when we get a new president...I don't remember ever getting any serious changes (that I personally noticed) just because the POTUS changed. The funny thing to me is the story I've been told twice this morning about the woman who woke up and was all excited because now she didn't have to pay her mortgage or pay for healthcare. Was there a candidate on the ticket that I missed? I would've SO voted for that dude!Anyway, I'm not worried about all this, I'm just completely sick of it all!
