...we spent time with my brothers and their families. While my dad and mom were there we got some pictures of all of the grandkids together. Just for clarification...My oldest brother has one son, Tyler, who is 1. And my second oldest brother has on girl, Naomi who is also 1. Then there is me, with two kids, Kaylee and Colton. Enjoy the pics!

We made it through it all!

Wow, we had a crazy week the last time I posted. The day that I left for Atlanta I found out that someone had somehow gotten a hold of my bank card number and made charges in London. So while I was on the way to the airport I was freaking out because we had a very negative balance. Then when I got to the airport me, Kaylee, and Colton all had to be patted down because I didn't have my drivers license (I had just applied for my Texas license the weekend before so all I had was a paper license.). Then while we were waiting at the airport for our flight, I got a call from our bank asking if I had made any recent charges in London. Uh, no! I think the flight was a relief after all of that! Thankfully Colton took a nap most of the time and Kaylee was practically perfect. She kept herself busy making cards for her cousins. So! I'm glad to be home and my parents are visiting for the week! Yeah! We're having an early Thanksgiving tomorrow. Yum. Hope y'all have a great weekend too!

Road Trip!

Me and the kids are leaving for Georgia tomorrow! It was originally because my high school reunion was planned for this weekend, but it got cancelled because not enough people signed up to go. So, I'm goimg to visit my brothers and their families instead. Good trade!:)Then my parents are going to meet us there and we're going to drive back to San Antonio in their motorhome. They were planning on coming out here to do a story on San Antonio for the motorhome magazine, so we're just hitching a ride back! I'm looking forward to the visit but not so much to the plane ride alone with two kids. Oh well! Others have done it before me, so I'll guess we'll survive. :) Keep us in your prayers though!

If anyone has some amusing or favorite pics of Ryan that they could email me I'd really appreciate it! All ages and I'd really like some camp pictures if anyone has some. I want to put a scrapbook of him from birth to now together for his b-day this year. Don't mention it to him though! Thanks! Nancyemail: nancyandryan@hotmail.com

Thanks for all your encouraging words!

I hope I didn't sound like I was complaining in my last post. I didn't mean to. Just venting! :)And thanks for helping me see that I'm not the only one in a situation like this. I know that I'm blessed to be able to stay at home with my children and I wouldn't have it any other way.Today I get to go out by myself for the afternoon. Thankfully Ryan realizes that I get a little stressed being here by myself all week, so he's going to stay with the kids (while they nap :) ) and I'm going to go to the mall! Yeah! Me and a girlfriend are going for some retail therapy. :) Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Supermom? I think not... :)

Ryan has had to work like crazy ever since we got here to San Antonio. He's gone Monday through Friday and then he's home on the weekends. So that leaves me with the kids during the week. Some may call me a "supermom" but lately I've been questioning my sanity. :) The two of them definately keep me busy. Trying to unpack anything is laughable! And going shopping for anything is always eventful. Today I was at a consignment shop with the two of them and as we were leaving Kaylee decided to play "run away from Mommy when she asked me to come." Oooo, that drives me crazy! And in a parking lot no less! I've definately had a few meltdowns. But then I try to remind myself of the alternative. I could be waking up at the crack of dawn to get ready for work, getting kids ready to go to daycare, and leaving my kids with someone else for the day. So I try to breathe, calm down, and be grateful that I'm able to care for my own children at home.P.S. Hopefully once hunting seaso...

Settling in

Well, we're trying to get into the swing of things here in San Antonio. It's a little different right now because Ryan is having to stay in Laredo all week, M-F. I'm still unpacking boxes and finding homes for all our "stuff." Kaylee really loves her new room. She keeps asking though when we're going to FL, which is kind of sad. She misses everyone there, especially Abbey and her grandparents. In other news, Ryan and I are considering homeschooling. Kaylee will be four next summer and ready for preschool. I guess we would begin next year with a few lessons. So I was wondering if anyone had any advice, tips, ideas,pros/cons, etc. I'll write more later when I can collect my thoughts, still feeling a little scattered. :)

I can't remember...

...if I shared any of these pics or not. They are from my grandmother's home in Missouri. It was kind of sad going back and her not being there and knowing that the family farm probably wasn't going to stay in our family. So I took some pictures with the kids so I can show them someday what it was like. Here are a few of the pics.

This is the craziest thing...

I have been working on potty training with Kaylee for almost a year now. It always felt like she could do it if she wanted to. Well, I guess she wants to now! I never thought it would be in the middle of a move! We went to Epcot on Tuesday with friends, and I think that it encouraged Kaylee to potty train because her (Nornie) daughter is potty training. So, Kaylee stayed dry the entire day at Epcot, of all places, and has continued to do so since then! I can't believe it! It's awesome! I am still putting a diaper on her at night, but she's even kept that dry! I'm so proud of her! Yeah to no more diapers!!!! Except for Colton of course... :)P.S. I would post pics from Epcot, but Ryan took my uploading cord with him. :)

Chillin' in T.T.

Well, I will be here at my parent's house for the next two weeks. I hope to get to see all of our friends here before we have to leave. We finished up packing on Thursday morning and the movers came and got everything loaded. No more packing, yeah!I'm so glad that's all done with. Now I just have to make it through this next week being a single parent.
