For my birthday, my awesome coworker Taylor got me a book called "God's Gift: over 100 studs, stallions and dreamboats of the 70's and 80's." Some of the photos in this book are...riveting. Others make you scream. Did we really like our men with long feathered hair, open shirts, gold chains and tight pink pants?? Did we?? Who was your favorite TV/movie star of the 70's and 80's? Please, share photos.

To cope with these restless Fall feelings, I pulled out the Halloween decorations, bought a few more, decorated the condo and had people over for lunch yesterday. I made some of her pumpkin dip.1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened2 cups confectioners' sugar1 (15 ounce) can solid pack pumpkin (*not* pumpkin pie)2 tablespoon pumpkin pie spiceBlend the cream cheese with the sugar first, then add pumpkin and then spicesUse ginger snap cookies, graham crackers, or sliced pears or apples for dipping. YUM!!

FallFall is an interesting time of year for me. The winding down of the summer, the gathering and storing of the proverbial acorns for hibernation. Preparing for the death of another year, looking back at all you hoped to accomplish and seeing how well you did. Or how well you failed. I always get depressed when the air starts to turn cold, it's always a little harder for me to get out of bed in the morning. I get an empty ache inside that is hard to fill.At the same time, it's lovely to curl up on the couch with a blanket and hot cup of tea, see the fall leaves, go apple picking, walk outside without bursting into flames. Pumpkins, Halloween costumes and candy corn!! I also love fall clothes...anything to hide my freckles. :-) Anyone else like this or am I as alone as I feel in the autumn?

Today we took a train from Prague down through a part of Slovokia and into Hungary. I mostly just read and slept on the train. The countryside was beautiful and we saw several castles/monastary looking buildings in various towns. We had dinner at this place were they put a quail egg into a nest of crispy ham on top of my beef. I felt like I was on Iron Chef America (they're always putting quail eggs on top of things). When the two gentleman at the next table over were leaving they both looked at me and said "goodbye" like we knew them. I just smiled really big. Lee didn't notice (but then again, they didn't say goodbye to him). I guess we'll see if that custom continues.I think we're going to do the tourist thing and go a bus tour. We're lazy. I'm sad because this vacation will be over too quickly.

I've got this project due on Monday (with a mini-deadline on Thursday morning at 11 to view progress and make changes). I worked both days last weekend and have been working a lot this week and possibly some this weekend, too. :-( I'm exhausted.I'm in need of some time off work.I need a hug. Here's the song that's been getting me through this week:Mexican Standoff by Elbow: For *Twilight* fans, this is from Stephenie Meyer's playlist from Eclipse. Can't you just imagine Jacob thinking this about Edward?Slightly angry lyrics:Shifting my weight now from foot to footWhat did she see in this manI'm not superstitious but if I can getThis ball in the basket, then he'll wake up deadYour sweet reassurances don't' change the factThat he's better looking than meYet he'd look ideal 'neath the wheels of a carOh Mexican standoff I wish I was hard

hello...remember me?

Hey Ya'll! Well, it's been almost a week since I posted. That's got to be a record for me- me who is addicted to pleonast and posts almost daily! I've been a little bit busy lately with work. I haven't had a full off day since March 16th. It's my fault. I decided to do a project at work a particular way- a way that had a HUGE learning curve. But now I know some coding stuff that I didn't know before. Yay me. I also incurred an additional 35 hours for the month of March which will help me with my plan for getting out of debt, if nothing crazy happens. What am I saying? Crazy things ALWAYS happen. But thanks to everyone who has helped keep me grounded in love and friendship the last couple of weeks. You for letting me shop with you for your special day.You for too many things to name. You for diesel powered devices AND amazing conversation over sushi. You for all the great stuff yesterday! Your kindness is overwhelmingYou for American Idol memoriesAnd you for all the wonderfu...
