Well, I have a sick baby. Isabel has been running a high fever since last night. Poor little gal is so warm! She is acting pretty normal, not quite running like normal, her little eyes show her temperature. She has slept pretty well today too. I sure hate to see my babies sick. :(

Today as we were eating lunch, we were talking about different things we enjoy. Soccer, baton, school, and then we got to talking about Eric playing indoor soccer (maybe, they play their games on Sunday, so it will depend on game times). We were talking about how Eden had seen Eric play when she was a baby and we lived in Paducah, KY. Somehow we ended up talking about places we lived. We talked about how Eden had been to Iowa (where my parents used to live) but only in my belly (when I was pregnant with her). Because Gramma and Grampa had moved to KY about a month after she was born. Then we talked about how Daddy had been there but none of the girls. Daddy told them that is where we were married. Then we talked about how nothing could be better than having 3 beautiful girls and one beautiful wife. They all agreed. Then Eric said, "You know what is better than 3 beautiful girls and one beautiful wife? 3 beautiful girls and 2 beautiful wives!"We all said "NO...

Just a quick update to ask for prayers. Please keep my Dad and brother in your prayers. They leave tomorrow (Monday, September 22) for Kenya, East Africa. They will be gone for a couple of weeks. Pray for their safety and the continued success of the gospel in this country.Keep my Mom in your prayers, she will be traveling here later in the week so we can travel to Texas to see my sis, my brother in law and my niece! Thanks! They are much appreciated!

Well, again a day of memories. Hard to believe how much my life and our world has changed since this day so few years ago. I still remember the thoughts, feelings and emotions from that day. We are still here and ticking. Very busy household and we are loving the busyness. Eden is loving preschool. She is really starting to interact with the other kids in her class. We had a week of shyness I guess you would call it, but she is working herself out of it, more and more. She is reading everything she can see and get her hands on. I think it makes things a little harder on her preschool teacher, but we are still encouraging her love for reading.Abigail is really blossoming with some one on one time with me. We mostly play games when Eden is in school, or work on our letters, sounds and writing them. She really feels like a big girl when she makes the letter on paper! "Look, I'm just like Eden now!" has been a well heard phrase here. We are all proud of her!The ...

Why do we not take the time to make this a priority in our lives?I believe it is something everyone enjoys after the event. We make it too stressful on the front end, sometimes. I've made lots of excuses lately as to why we don't have people over more. One of the biggest excuses I make is that we live 40 minutes or more from everyone we go to church with. I've decided that isn't a good enough reason any more. After talking with Eric, we've decided we need to do our part. We can invite people over they can decide how far they are willing to come.We have a Wii, which is so much fun. The olympics are on now. Game nights are always fun.Having dinner or dessert is relaxing and doesn't have to be anything special.Singing night. These are just a few of the ideas we have come up with. What are some fun memories of get togethers you've been a part of?

The nail polish finally came off Isabel, lots of washing trying not to irritate. The clothes are definately play clothes now! The carpet only has a small tinge of pink where the VERY BIG & DEEP polish spill was made. Eric ended up using nail polish remover to get it out of the carpet. It came off the tile with very little effort, using nail polish remover and then rinsing well with warm water. So I would say it is cleaned up :)Abigail was using the bottle as a microphone while she was singing. She went to get something out of Isabel's hand and Isabel grabbed at the bottle, Abigail threw her hand back and it slipped out and broke on the tile. I never once got upset. I was frustrated trying to get it cleaned up but it was just an accident. Abigail now knows that it isn't a toy. If she needs a microphone get her toy one or a brush :)We signed the girls up for soccer and on Saturday they had "player evaluations". Which means the kids had to run some drills. IT ...

My 3 yr old got into my nail polish, broke a bottle on ceramic tile floor. Both 10 month old baby & 3 yr old have it EVERYWHERE on their bodies, including lips. It is on carpet and tables. Any suggestions on how to get it off, besides letting time take its course? Thanks for any suggestions!

Need some advice

Eric and I are going to check out a preschool that we may put Eden in this fall. We've never had any experience with preschools, or schools in general. We are doing this mostly for the social interaction. But I do want her to learn, we don't want this to be a daycare situation...What types of things should we look for? What should we ask about? How involved do parents get to be in preschool?Anything we should watch out for?And anything else you can offer ...Thank!
