Happy Birthday Marine Corp

Back in 1921 the Marine Corp was established and as the son of a Marine I say, "Happy Birthday & Semper Fi, MC! Thank you for your service."And in case I forget tomorrow, thanks to all of our veterans for the service you provide to our country.--------------------------------------------I told Laura a few days ago that I wasn't going to fill up my truck again until gas was $1 something. Well this morning I filled up at Sam's for $1.99. :)

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween! The trick or treater were disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the ones we had looked great, but we only had 15 - 20 kids. Lots of extra candy.A couple reasons why I think we had so few: 1. They do this thing downtown where a lot of kids go. 2. Last night wasn't actually Halloween. 3. Our neighbors are bah-humbugs. We were the only ones with our lights on.I'm really excited about our costumes tonight. I'll post pictures when I get them. Only bible students will get it. Hint: It's the title of my favorite book growing up.

Good Weekend

Okay so I had a terrible attitude about our plans with past weekend. But I decided Friday to give it a chance and I had a great time.Friday we drove to Andalusia for our Young Married Couples Retreat. We had 3 good discussions/lessons, a hilarious talent show, and good food. Then Saturday we drove up to Camden for Laura's cousin's engagement party. I actually got to see a quarter of football which was nice, a great meal, and his dad's country band was pretty good too.Oh, and it turns out my last season record won't be right so I guess Auburn will just end up 8-4.
