*Monday - Jersey Swap Day! Luke didn't get his jersey until that afternoon so for most of the day I went around wearing my own! It was the first time I was able to wear it. I love it! It says "Short N Sweet" on the back with the number 17 and on the sleeves is SJB GURL Go Omega! ~Tuesday - Guy Be Nice to Girl Day! I was treated to lunch in the pouch. That afternoon we went to Lettuce Lake Park and watched the sunset over the trees, went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant and then went shopping for stuff for Thursday :) Oh.. he also drove me by the Childrens Insane Asylum which was super creepy! But overall a very good day! *Wednesday - Mis-Match Day! I wore a plaid skirt with a striped shirt, toe socks with flip-flops and two different earrings. It was great :) ~Thursday - Disney Day! I was Wendy, Luke was Peter Pan and I had 10 lost boys! This has actually been somewhat of an inside joke for a while. One morning at breakfast I was sitting with a bunch of the ...

And, oh! It's been so nice :) *Thursday A bunch of girls and me went to the mall and Target. We love sales and clearance racks! Probably a little too much. But it was fun and I wish we had more time to walk through the mall. This was my first trip to one since I've been down here. How sad! But that's probably a good thing ;) That evening I went to the park with some other friends. I didn't realize a nice park was that close! I can't remember what it's called but there was a lake with a boardwalk all around it and a nice playground with a big slide and squeaky swings! (what grade are we in??..) *WE INTERUPT THIS POST TO BRING YOU GREAT NEWS IN THE WORLD OF BEAUTY! A NEW DISCOVERY HAS BEEN MADE! THE WONDERFUL EFFECTS OF GROWING FACIAL HAIR AND NOT SHAVING: IT KEEPS AWAY THE MOSQUITOS AND THE BOYS!!! TRY IT TODAY!*~Friday I went with about twenty other friends to go canoeing in the Everglades! We left school around 9:30am and got back around 10-ishpm. It was SO much fun. We didn't ...

Move-In Day #2

Today was the grand exodus of the 'Israelites' out of C-Dorm, Dicus and Wilson to the land flowing with nice furniture and room to spare, Boswell. *Go to the FC website and click on the Boswell article. Click on the 'Listen to the Comments from Chapel' and look at the pictures* I haven't listened to it yet, but hopefully you can hear all of the insane-ness! I think it's an understament to say the guys were excited. Today's chapel announcements will go down in history (as well as facebook, thanks to Stephen Rouse). Hopefully 'Alma Mater Monday' doesn't start a new tradition. Maybe once a year on this day to commemorate. Classes were cancelled for the rest of the day! I don't really have anything to do so I can just relax. Yay :) I helped Luke and Philip pack all of their stuff (there wasn't that much.. they're guys...) and move it in. Unfortunately the girls only have until 5pm to enjoy Boswell and then we get kicked out. I think it's gonna take me a while to get used to having ...

There is a lot to pray about. I need to study for a Bible test. I love O.T. history with Mr. Peeler. It's been so informative and helpful with my study of the N.T. I love my friends.
Happy September :) Life at Florida college has been a busy, hectic, wonderful blur. This semester is going to be gone before I know it. My schedule is finally in place for good. Last week I added voice lessons with Mrs. Bassett on Mondays at 2pm and piano lessons with Mrs. Barlar on Thursdays at 1:15 :) Along with a number of extra-curricular activities which are bound to keep me super-busy! Which is sometimes a good thing. - Omega Chi - YWTO- Footlighters - Yearbook (which is technically a class..) It's hard to not get involved down here. There are SO many things to do. The friends I have made down here so far have done nothing but add to the wonderful experience. They are several great Christian ladies who I know will be there for me and I for them. I am so blessed :) *{I had made up my mind about this not to long before I came here. I'm happy to say I have held to my convictions but it has not been easy. I'm still fighting a battle between my head and my heart. Thes...

one step at a time

Today I am wondering where the time has gone. Am I seriously in college? Out on my own?? Making the everyday decisions that will affect the rest of my life? It doesn't seem possible yet. My one week of 'freedom' has been pretty nice. I've met too many people to remember and have too many reasons to smile. I'm not yet sure which part of the day is my favorite. For some reason I enjoy waking up to start my day. I wake up to a brand new day, still devoid of mistakes and drama and any other bad thing. I love pulling back our yellow curtains and seeing the beautiful Florida sunshine. I like listening to my favorite songs off my ipod as I get ready. Mornings are truly a gift from God and I find it ironic that I'm finally realizing this in college. God has blessed me and blessed me. I can't say it enough times and I can't stop reminding myself of it. I often forget what truly matters. I often forget certain vows I made to myself and why I made them. I hope I can be more diligent in the f...
