What is going on?!

Today, the "Big Three" automakers were on Capitol Hill saying, "Give us Money. We're going poor."Elizabeth Dole says that the Auto "crisis" is due to the housing-market collapse. The Governator just said that Global Warming is causing the massive wlidfires in SoCal.China figured out just how much their mandatory-abortion policy has saved them in "carbon offsets" and are planning on selling them to the US and Europe. (If that happened, our tax dollars would be (mis)spent on lies and state-mandated abortions).Real actual pirates have hijacked two oil tankers off the coast of Somolia and are holding it ransom for over $100 million. What is going on?! This is madness! There are two reasons the auto-makers are in trouble: One, union involvement and Two, the government. If you take those two out of the equation, the car-makers can thrive. Continue to allow them to run the industry with unrealistic regulations and ridiculous concepts (like...

A Vote

Remember: A vote for Obama is a vote for socialism. (Socialism is, of course, a system of government that takes everything you have and distributes it "equally" for the "greater good.")Also, remember" A Vote for McCain is a vote for something else. Unfortunately, since he is such a "maverick," we have no idea what he might actually do.So, my suggestion is to vote for Chuck Norris.I love you all.I love you.~Curtis

...and two other people after today.Kyle just baptized Thomas Meyers, a brother of one of our Sisters, and Kyle, the son of one of our couples, into Christ about 10 minutes ago.So, I've been here two weeks and two souls have been saved. Let's see if we can keep this trend up. :)I love you all.I love you.~Curtis

Humbled

Something has changed. I'm not quite sure when it happened. I'm not even exactly sure when it happened or what brought on this change. The change is that I have been humbled.A few weeks ago, Phil gave my ego a whoopin and, since then, I noticed that I had to change some things in my life. I didn't see people as equals. Instead, I would judge people as to who I was better than and who was better than me. I didn't see my interaction with people as opportunities for me to help. Instead, I saw them as obstacles to my easy life.Since then, my wife and I have moved to Amarillo, TX. On the way here, I remember looking out from the car and thinking how far out the land went in every direction. I remember feeling small. Back home, there were always trees and hills and two-story houses that would get in the way of being able to see too far in any one direction. From Tulsa onward, the world seemed to just not stop. That's when I realized that I was going to have to REALLY change t...
