Just need a distraction right now.

Ok, I would consider myself a UT fan and occasionally I do like to watch a game....especially tonights game. But right now, the horns are playing so sloppy that I can't even watch. Maybe they will pull thru.....

Saving money is fun...

I just thought I would share how I've saved money this season. I've bought all of the kids gifts for Christmas and birthdays with only money that i've made by reselling outgrown clothes and toys, and only bought things when they were on sale with coupons! I've saved a lot and gotten come really cool gifts! Yeah! It's awesome.

I so love this time of year. It's the season for birthday parties and all sorts of get together oppourtunities:) I will have to say that sometimes shawn and I get a little down this time of year because we really miss the closeness of our Kentucky friends that we left....but we try to focus on opportunities to become closer to people here:) We are so blessed to have such a large group of Christians in our church why not try and take advantage of it?

Beautiful morning!!

This I woke up to a bright sunshine and 50 somthing degrees! Oh I love fall! We opened the windows right away to let that crisp air in. Of course it will heat up into the low 80's today, but we will enjoy it. We are going to run around a bit this morning to get some things we need. We have a few things coming up like Halloween and of course Alaynas first birthday party! She is going to be 1 in only 3 weeks! I can't believe it, my little girl is already becoming a toddler. Well hope all have a wonderful Saturday!

So today is going well so far. First of all, I took Alayna to the store with me and she acted so great...on the way I saw that gas has dropped to 2.93! That is so good because that puts more money in our pockets....and now we just finished watching the UT game and they won! YEAH HORNS! Hope you have a great relaxing Saturday:)

Alayna is now walking, she looks like a little doll when she walks around. It's really cute. She is walking about the same time that Ashton did, guess all my kids will walk at about 11 months! Alayna Walking!

Eight things about me... 1. The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is open all the blinds and let the sunshine in! 2. I am a major clean freak, I do some sort of cleaning everyday. 3. In college we did a dating survey and Shawn was my #1 on my list...I didn't know him yet. 4. I have a fake tooth. 5. I am a major bargain shopper...I am really good at finding name brands and getting a great price for them! 6. Sometimes I act OCD about certain things (too many to list) Shawn sometimes refers to me as "Monk" (he's a tv show) 7. I love fruit. 8. When I was little, my sister and I watched The Sound of Music pretty much every day.

Lessons we need...

Tonight at services one of our elders gave us a lesson that I know I needed to hear. He spoke about distrations in services and parenting. It was really good to hear all he had to say. I think Shawn and I have done a good job with Ashton so far, he is pretty good in church, but he has his moments and has to be taken out at times. Mostly, I needed to hear that lesson so I can remember it while I am at home and doing the most discipline during the day. Shawn and I have one of "those kids." He can be very strong willed. He is also very loving, sweet and kind. I love him so much and want so badly for him to put God first in life always. The lesson tonight was a reminder to be patient, dilligent and consistant. If we do this and teach our children to first respect us and those around them, then they will learn to respect God as well. This begins in how we let them behave in worship services and at home. I am so thankful we have elders in our churh who are not afraid to teach us ...
