*Whew*

So after 3 days of having workers here we're finally restored. We need to completely replace the air conditioning both inside and out, but we just can't afford it right now, so the guy fixed as well as he could and we just hope we can afford to replace it before something like this happens again. So, instead of 2-3 grand to replace the AC we only had to spend $550 fixing it. The water heater cost about $900 to replace. Needless to say, we're feeling the crunch. I'm SO glad to have air again, it's been 81 inside my house the past few days. I'm such a wuss :) So now I need to really get off my bum and sell some Mary Kay so I can still afford Christmas. SO glad it wasn't any worse than it was, just stressed about replacing the AC before it happens again. God is kind and merciful though, I know he has a plan.In other news, tomorrow is the ultrasound appointment to check for birth defects/how many kids are brewing in there. Please keep us (especially my sanity as I prepare to make the dri...

Terrified

I was just jolted awake from a deep sleep by a loud weird noise and a nasty smell. Upon further investigation, there was a FIRE in my water heater! I woke up Jimmy immediately and cut the power to the breaker and that stopped the fire. It's right below the A/C handler which was/is dripping now, so the power got cut to that too. I'm SO thankful I woke up! Jimmy sleeps with earplugs in so if I wasn't here, the whole place could have burned down! If we have to replace both units I don't know what we'll do! I can't call the plumber til 8 and there's no way I can go back to sleep til this gets resolved. Anyone know how to get the electrical smell out? It's making my already sickly stomach even worse! Know anyone that wants a kidney on the black market to further the cause?

This one's for my Peeps...

JJ was a Peep for Halloween. I left my camera in Nashville so this was the best pic I could get with my phone. Sorry about the nose picking, he's a boy. Also, here's a 10 week belly pic. I know, I'm huge for 10 weeks! Yes, there's a history of twins in the family - on both my side and Jimmy's side. And yes, it's supposed to hit both our generations. Not exactly hoping for that though :) Plus in my biological family we all pop out very quickly with the second child I guess. We'll find out on the 17th if we're farther along than we think or if it's twins. If not, I guess I'm just a fatty :)

So I finally got to go to my doctor this week. I've lost 11 pounds in the last month due to morning sickness so she put me on the same meds they give chemo patients to help with the nausea. They do seem to help as long as I take them every 6 hours on the dot. Side effects? They make me tired and give me killer headaches. Still debating whether or not they're worth taking. In JJ news, he seems this week to really be making a lot of progress. We're still in the process of getting him tested for Autism, but this week he's picking up a TON of new words and is even starting to sign a few of them as he says them. Don't get me wrong, I still have to translate for him but at least I can understand some of what he's saying now. Yesterday I asked him to go to his room and get me a diaper (I've been asking for weeks and no response) and he actually did it! AND he's done it 4 more times since then, I'm so proud of him! But my favorite is when he signs and says I Love Mommy (which sounds like &quo...

Humor in everyday situations

Ok, first and foremost, let me please state that I am in no way making fun of a serious mental condition. Sometimes you just can't help laughing at something like this though :) Hopefully the family doesn't take offense to me posting this...My aunt and uncle are taking care of my uncle's mother who has Alzheimers. She lives with them and has to have 24hr care. She has her good days, and her not so good days. Aunt Sandi has posted in the past some of the funny things Mrs. Kathleen has said/done. I just recently found out about this one and had to share.Mrs. Kathleen watches tv in her room, and from what I understand she has a favorite show. The problem is, her reality gets crossed and she thinks she's IN the show. She made a comment to my cousin the other day that she was going to have to find a new place to live because they were going to kick her out. Why? They're expecting a baby. (again, in her head unless you have something you need to share?) Apparently my Aunt must have chang...

hmmm

So, my mother's car died, completely. Well, it IS fixable, but it'd cost like $6000 to do it, and the car is only worth $3000 on a good day. She can't afford a huge car payment. Anyone have an old (reliable) car they'd like to get off their hands? If you're in the Nashville area it'd be even better. We'd love ideas! Thanks,~Tab

Morning sickness is NOT my friend. Neither is a two year old that seems to think my belly is a trampoline/punching bag. Spending a lot of time on the couch, I feel like such a bum. Has it been 9 months yet?

Surprise!

And yes, I mean REALLY surprised! No, we weren't planning this. Yes, I'm completely in shock. No, I don't know how far along, we're guessing 6 weeks. I have a doctor appointment on October 20th. Jim is super excited about it, and I think that after the feeling of complete overwhelmingness (is that even a word?) wears off I'll be super excited too.Get ready world, here comes Tablette #2

Attention Georgia friends...

So JJ and I are back up in Nashville for another week or so. The normally 10 hour-ish trip took about 11.5 hours due to severe fit pitching. I drove overnight hoping he would sleep, even gave him Benedryl, but he only slept about 2 hours total. So, I'm trying to locate people along my route back that I can bust in on for like an hour or so, just to get him out of the car and playing a bit. I have FL covered already, so I just need Georgia people :) Let me know if you're interested! I'll probably br driving back either Monday or Tuesday of next week. Thanks!~Tab

Justice is best served cold

Had my final (I hope!) court appearance today against my stalker. This one was by far the worst because I had to get up and testify and look at him and identify him, and his lawyer was a complete jerk, I was SO angry by the time it was all over! He got sentenced to 45.3 months in state prison though, so even though it's not as much has I hoped for I know he has to serve at least 85% of that time and I'll have moved out of state by the time he gets out and he won't be following me. He does have 30 days to appeal, but I REALLY hope he doesn't. My lawyer was asking for 10 years, so I think he got off kind of easy, but his lawyer was asking for a 6 month rehab program and then no probation after that, so I'm glad the judge saw through and gave him prison time :) I have a migraine now, but I'm so glad it's all over, I just don't care about the headache anymore. Time to celebrate!
