It may be that only people who have seen this movie can really appreciate these, so if you haven't seen the movie and think this is all pretty random and pointless, well... sorry. This is just the best I can do for an entry right now, and I thought it might be kinda fun. *shrugs*Wolf: Twitchy! You scared me!Twitchy: [speaking quickly] Hey-boss-I-called-I-beeped-you-on-your-beeper-did-you-get-my-beep?Wolf: Twitchy, you've got to calm down.Twitchy: I-got-up-early-and-I-got-the-gear-I-was-watching-the-girl-like-you-told-me-to-the-girl-in-the-red-hood.Wolf: Yeah, the girl in the red hood.
Phinally, after 28 years, on October 29, 2008, the Philadelphia Phillies snagged their second World Series title in history. For a native Pennsylvanian and a fan of Philadelphia pro sports, this is big. The final pitch:80/08 (or, then and now)

A look in the mirror

These are some thoughts taken from Marc's excellent talk last Wednesday, sort of mingled with some thoughts of my own.Job 1:6-12~Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. The LORD said to Satan, "From where do you come?" Then Satan answered the LORD and said, "From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it." The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil." Then Satan answered the LORD, "Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face." Then the LORD said to Satan, "Behold, all that he ha...

I don't know how many of you have seen this movie, but this is definitely my favorite scene. :)(At the very beginning, keep your volume down until the guy walks past the screen carrying a rifle. Then, crank it up! It'll send shivers down your spine!)Davy Crockett on the Violin, from: The AlamoSorry to those of you who are unable to get this to play on your computer. :-(

ARACHNOPHOBICS BEWARE!!!

On Monday morning, I was in for a little surprise when I walked into the bathroom. I was not alone. I went to the sink, turned on the faucet, and in the blink of an eye, something dark, hairy, and bigger than a quarter appeared in the sink. Yes, the dreaded eight legged beast. Apparently the critter had been sitting on the underside of the faucet, because as soon as I turned it on, it dropped into the sink, and then proceeded to attempt walking (skittering) on the water. A rather amusing sight, as I think about now, but not at the time. I myself, being something of an arachnophobic, just about had a heart attack. lol But when all was said and done, the beasty was slain, and I was allowed to continue with my morning routine. That *so* figures for a Monday. =PFor those of you who suffer from arachnophobia and have just read this (fools! Why did you not head The Big Red Heading At The Top Of The Page?!), I apologize for your newly developed fear of the bathroom sink. Especially if you ...

Yes. Today I've been tagged by her, him, him, and her. I now have to dish out 32 random facts about myself (how I'm gonna keep them all random is beyond me). I'm just posting right now to say that I am now tag-exempt. 32.Is.The.Max. If you tag me, I will not hesitate to seek a restraining order. This could take a few days.... or weeks, so I may have to ask you to exercise [extreme] patience. =P I will get this on Pleo. Eventually.Just kidding about the restraining order part........... maybe....
