Life is good. God is great. :) I seem to have been incredibly busy as of late... it's just been crazy.. and tiring... and very loving too.. all at the same time. :) This past weekend I had a Halloween party, a sporting event (Texas lost :( ), and the Renassiance Festival. Jeff and I are going to throw a UFC party this Saturday, which I think will be the first party he and I have thrown together. Good times and hopefully good food. Keep your fingers crossed! School is going o.k. I absolutely love the actual teaching, and I hate all the other mumbo jumbo. Right now we are currently having morning and afternoon duty 2.5 hours a week. Yeah... it's really messing with my teaching. I've presented two new proposals to the administration, and hopefully one of the two will be accepted today. We have today off, because it is voting day. Go vote! :) I miss my best friend in the whole wide world. Haven't seen her since she has come back from Italy. Crazy!?! OH! and I'm in a workout comp...

Algernon adventures

Today started out just like any other day for Algernon. He woke up, had his owner (myself) pick him up out of his cage, and put him in his round ball to roll around in while his owner (again, myself) cleaned out his cage. He ran around the whole kitchen, knocking up against counters, and bouncing into doors for approximately 15 minutes. He was even able to push the ball up over the carpet and into the dining room for a couple of seconds. After cleaning the cage, I had decided to finish watching a "Law & Order" episode while everything was drying out. When the next commercial came on, I realized I had not heard the knocking of the ball in a couple of minutes. I went into the kitchen and noticed the door was unlocked and the mouse was gone. I started to tear up my whole apartment looking for this mouse. I began in the kitchen, looked in the pantry, looked in the laundry room, behind the refrigerator, behind the washing machine... went down the hall into the bathroom, ...

I love being a teacher and having summers off. :) It allows you to get a lot of stuff done that you didn't have time to do during the nine point five months you are working. Of course, I do have that lovely thing called workshops, and I am attending one tomorrow. They are suppose to teach me how to use music and language arts together. I hope they can really teach me some new songs.
