The end of July

I was reading Bertina's blog, )sorry haven't mastered html yet)and was thinking what end of july meant to me.I almost started with the downside, that's terrible. So, I will try the upside, 6 or so weeks left of summer, YEAH! Hot, muggy nights, means cool bedrooms if you have an air conditioner,so you can still throw on a few lightweight blankets, and cuddle up with your dh, or little ones, if they are having a bad night.Still time to travel, and enjoy a few ahhhs, of breath before school starts. Planning time, we all need some, and what a perfect time! Its too hot in the aftrnoon to really go outside, and if you are not working, like most moms here, its a great time to give kids book, quiet them down and plan. The sun is always shining, except for the occaissional thunderstorm. I never liked them, I was terrified of them from when I was two years old. Yes, I can recall that far back in to my childhood, its just today I forget! :-) However, when the kids were just pups, we used ...

New Orleans

To those who didn't know, I was in New Orleans last week.It was a time of reflection, of re-dedication, of being a part of 350 people all working together toward one goal, for a whole community, that we didn't even live in. Even though this was a great feat to be a part of, I couldn't help but think, what the Lord's church could do if we all acted as one, instead of single cell units.Well, food for thought.I will keep trying to do my best. You may not see me, or know me well, or understand fibromyalgia combined with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and multiple other auto-immune diseases that keep me down. But, God knows me, He knows where my heart is. I want to be better, I want to get up Sunday mornings and begin the day With HIM! So, I am going to keep trying. And, if you don't see me, remember I am trying. If you do see me, just smile!I love all of those who are my true brothers and sisters in Christ! I know everyone has a need, everyone has something they need to do better. I wi...

In Like a...?

You have always heard, If March comes in like a Lamb,it goes out like a Lion, and vice versa. Well, I think so far, March is confused! )0(, should I smile, or should I frown?Well, I have chosen to smile, with only two days of rain, that made many things miserable all over the place, except here, in my little corner of the world. Rejoice! And, the flu that lasted the whole month of Feb. finally feels gone! Rejoice!Today was absolutely gorgeous, sunshine felt wonderful! Praise to Him! So, On top of all of those good things, Miranda comes home for a brief trip next week, on my b-day, while I am taking a science test! So, I won't get the first hug at the airport, but I am gonna get all of them I can while she's here! I am ready to spring these time keepers forward, praying for a nice warm Spring!Love to you all!I have missed many of you, and I am glad to be back on track. Class last night at G-burg was good. It ended a perfect day!Keep Him First Always,Tonya ...

Snow

white crystals of sparkling lightdancing playfully making the land brightits cold, but not grayit awakens the soul to a brand new daySpiritually, it reminds us of purityPhysically, it reminds us of the seasons coming and going. This one is for fun and frolic, sledding and crunchingIts Spring though that gives us yet another glimpse of the Lord's beautiful creations, where all is new and fresh.Next, we find long, sunny bright happy days of summer, a rest from some duties, yet busy with new ones.Autumn, again, beautiful too, but somehow it seems to come too soon.Won't it be wonderful in heaven, to have everything beautiful all of the time?

just a few scattered thoughts

When days go by, and I feel less than worthy to be called anything but a lump in the bed, I try to use some reminders that help me put it all in perspective. The first thing, I may not be productive in the kingdom of God at this moment, but I am in His kingdom, and so glad for that. Also, maybe some seeds somewhere I have tried to plant are taking root, and someone is watering them.Secondly, before putting my achey back in a sit up position, I try to pray for others, and thank God for the blessings in life.Next, I gingerly crawl out of bed, and thank God I can.I walk a short distance to the bathroom, and thank God for that.Even though the laundry is piled high, and my guys can't see it like I do, I thank God for our clothes, a place to wash them, and a machine to wash them in, whenever they make it down the stairs. I've been known to throw them down from time to time :-)Next, I try going down the stairs, to eat or drink, or just to get away from the bed. And, when I see the dish...
