Waiting for my Edward ... minus the whole "vampire thing" ;o)

OK, my 2 cents (too keyed up still to sleep just yet although I have to be at work in 5 hours... ::groan:: Worth being sleepy for though!)Overall I LOVED it! I mean, come on it's the short movie-version of Twilight, just as the Harry Potter movies were. As always thought, not as good as the book. Not to ruin it but there were SO many parts I couldn't help laughing out loud at! :o) But how else do you portray super-fast running & climbing vampires?! "Spider monkey." Some of the "stare-offs" were somewhat amusing as well... Really though, the love story is more vivid in the book but I think the actors did a pretty good job, especially since a lot of the story is from inside Bella's thoughts... I think thought, even if you haven't read the books, you may be a little behind on the underlying story but would still enjoy it! Just wait until you aren't surrounded by teenage girls literally screaming anytime Edward, Jacob, Emmett, or Carlisle come on screen...

Help the Ings

From her brother in law:Hello All,Sharon forwarded to you an e-mail regarding the Ing family so you are probably aware and may have already helped in some way. There is some other fund raising going on but I wanted to focus a bit and help with a couple of specific needs. I spoke with Steven Deaton and am working to fill a couple of specific needs detailed below. Everyone of you knows of situations to help with and I am confident the each of you helps whenever you can. This is just another opportunity to help but one that has touched me deeply. So here we go.1) Mr. Ing (Paul) wishes to funeral expenses and arrangements taken care of ahead of time so that his family does not have to deal with this later.2) I would like to enable this father to spend as much time as possible with his son. In order to be able to take unpaid leave, he must be able to replace his weekly income (very modest) and will be responsible for his insurance during that time (absolutely critical). My goal is ...

The "Sam" spoken about in the article was one of my former students this past year in Auburn.Such a special boy, and a sweet family. The article below is a good tribute to Kaylee, but also speaks of her unique bond with her special brother. Here's some pictures of Sam & Kaylee..:. :.: .:. Memorial Guestbook .:. :.: .:.Published: August 6, 2008Kaylee Marie Allison (8/5/98 - 8/5/08), 10, had a way with her little brother like no one elseFive-year-old Sam is autistic and very shy, their uncle Tim Speaks said.“When Sam gets around people, he gets kind of funny,” Speaks said. “But he was very comfortable with her. She could sit down with him and connect with him. He would concentrate, listen to her and obey her. It was a special connection.”Like eye contact and hugging.“He didn’t hug anybody but her,” he said. “He knew she was his sister. He knew she loved him. She was like a second mother to him.”And laughter.“She could make him...

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

More importantly, this day & everyday, give thanks for our loving Savior who sacrificed himself so that we can have a Hope in this life of EternalSalvation with our Father. Without this Hope, our life on this earth is futile. We need to bow our heads every day in remembrance and reverence ofour Lord. Let us now go out there and be busy about the Lord's work with our hands bloody. (Jeremiah 48:10)Fireworks!!!Don't ya just love 'em???
Told to update...

So yesterday the weather was beautiful & one can only do so much laying around INSIDE...so I decided to go outside to relax, read, get some sun, & do some rehab in the swimming pool. It's amazing how much more movement I have in my knee when in the pool...and the water was freezing...felt wonderful on my knee! :o)However, when outside enjoying the day (& GETTING FRIED MIGHT I ADD!), I overheard some strange conversations. It amazes me sometimes just how "worldly" our world has become. I know we are & hear about it on the news, but hearing & seeing things first-hand always amazes me. When I first crutched to the pool, there was only one "couple" there, who kept holding hands from their pool chairs. They stayed awhile, getting in & out of the pool to "cool" off (literally) but their main focus was to lay out & get some sun. During this time, the girl got a phone call from a friend who assumedly they had hung out with the n...

We need to come up with a name for that move Georges St. Pierre did on Matt Hughes...the GSP belly flop?! Your thoughts...Update: 12/30 - I LEAVE FOR NEW YEAR'S IN NEW YORK CITY!
