I love HVAC-for-beginners.com!!!

I came home to a chilly house today and check the thermostat and it was below the usual temp, the fan was blowing air, but it was all cold!!!Noooooooo...not a broken furnace. Before total panic set in, I checked my thermostat settings...checked my furnace and promptly began my search for my particular furnace...so much for fixing dinner tonight!Within about 1.5 hours, I learned normal operations for my furnace, determined where in the process it was failing, checked a bazillion things...actually just 4 or 5 :-) ...eliminating each one until I came to the flame sensor...and just in time my muscle arrived home to crank on the never-been-loose-since-installation screws. Yanked it *gently* out, cleaned it, put it back in, and wal-la! HEAT!!!!!!I am sooooo happy and thankful! That save us about $150! It is $75 at a minimum just for a service call plus time of the technician. I am doing a serious happy dance!

Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow!

It is absolutely gorgeous outside! It is soooo light and fluffy! Doesn't make a good snowball, but with a shovel and a twist of the wrist you can give someone a good dousing of powder! We had a blast in the snow...making tracks in the snow to the park, where lots of kids were out sledding, some skiing, and some snowboarding and many with pooches running through the snow...my sweet husband and I threw many shovelfuls of snow at each other and we played basketball in the snow...whhooohooooo. He won one game and I won one game...so we're even.It has been a most excellent week...time to relax, reflect, and rejoice over all the blessings of life! I for one will miss it when it is gone!Have a great weekend all!

Tomorrow...

Is a new day with new challenges. I am disappointed, not that I was a huge fan of McCain; however, I don't want to see our country run headlong off the cliff. I always thought and have said that God's will be done. Whatever we endure, we endure. We have much work to do to bring souls to Christ and one by one, slowly turn this nation around. As others have said...we may need to go down the road of difficulty to get us all focused on the right road.

Christian Supply

This is just FYI.I was told Christian Supply is carrying Barak Obama's book, Man of Faith. My thought...you've got to be kidding?I check out this store online, sure enough, they do. I contact said store. They defend their sale of book by saying they are politically neutral and just want to offer both sides of the story. My reply to them is that this was not about politics, but about morality. I have not heard back from them yet. If you would like a copy of the letter, I'm happy to email it to you.I just don't understand how we can encourage people who make a claim to Christ, to purchase a book and support a man who opposes God on so many fronts, most glaringly abortion and gay marriage. I could go on and on, but I wish to keep this brief.Does anyone else?
