My poor baby :(

Wintertime and early spring seem to be very hard for Annie as she is prone to ear infections. My poor darlin' has yet another round of ear infections and a horrible cough to go along with everything else. Bless her heart! She was up most of last night coughing. She is back on breathing treatments for two weeks and another round of a different antibiotic. Dad said as a child he had a lot of ear infections. Guess Annie is taking after Grandpa! Mom was VERY sweet to watch Emily and Hunter while I took Annie to the doctor this morning. Then we had lunch at their house. It was nice to visit with my parents while the kids played. Hopefully Annie will be able to rest some tonight.Mom and I are going to see "Twilight" Sunday afternoon since my wonderful, sweet, unselfish, kind, caring hubby offered to watch the kids. (Love u, baby!!!) Also, he's not really excited about a love story with vampires! Can't wait!!!!!:)

God is good!

Troy had a good interview this morning with a company, and he has another interview with a different company on Friday. We are very hopeful and quite excited by his interview today. There is another company he is considering as well. We are continuing to pray that he will be hired on with one of these companies. God is so good! Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate it.:)

Please keep us in your prayers

Well, after much prayer, discussion, and tears (mostly from me!), Troy has decided to look for another job. For most of this year, the car business has been really, really slow. I don't know how we have been able to make our bills, but each month we just seem to squeak by. It's very discouraging and upsetting. Troy has updated his resume, posted it on several job websites, and has already received a few job offers. We are praying that God will lead him to a wonderful job so he will be able to support our family. We just have to have faith that God will take care of us like He always has. We would really appreciate any and all prayers as we go through this difficult time.On a different note, we went to Dad and Mom's house yesterday afternoon to try and take a family picture. Hunter accidentally let my parents' dog out in the backyard where we were, and he ran so fast by Annie that she tripped and fell into one of Mom's rose bushes. Bless her heart, she was really scratched on...

Good doctor visit :)

My Mom is so cute! She met me at the doctor's office so she could make sure I was okay. So sweet! We enjoyed having time to visit and laugh. It was very cool and interesting to see my heart pumping and the blood flowing through it. It was a little weird, too. But, my heart looks great, thank the Lord. The mitral valve prolapse is barely noticeable. There is hardly any blood flowing backwards. Very good news! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. :)

My first Bible

As I was putting away our church directory, I saw my first Bible. It was given to me the year I was born, 1974, by my Great-Grandpa Nix. I used that Bible as a child, and just holding it brought back so many happy memories of being in worship as a child using that Bible.I go in tomorrow for my echocardiogram. When I was 20, our family doctor diagnosed me with mitral valve prolapse. That is a fancy term for a little bit of blood leaking backwards through your mitral valve when it's supposed to be shut. I've never had any problems with it, which is a blessing. My last echo was in 2005, and my MVP had improved, which really puzzled my cardiologist because she said it almost never improves. So, we'll see how my ticker is doing! It's also Troy's day off. WOO HOO!!! Poor thing has worked two and a half weeks solid with only one day off. We're looking forward to having him home!:)

Oh, I love naps! :)

Hunter and I just woke up from our nap, and the girls are still napping. Poor Emily started her day at 4 am, screaming and burning up with a fever. Unfortunately, Annie woke up at the same time, but at least she and Hunter went to bed at 7:30 last night. So, I got the girls fed breakfast while feeling like a zombie, Emily went back to bed at 6, Hunter woke up at 7:45, got an appointment with the doctor for Emily at 8:40, got Emily up, got all three dressed plus me and headed to the doctor. Thankfully, Emily doesn't have an ear infection. The doctor said it was probably just viral but to watch her for a possible ear infection in a few days. Annie and Hunter went to the doctor on Monday. Hunter had a cough, which is now gone, and Annie has an ear infection in her right ear. A few days of antibiotics later, and she is feeling better. Kids bounce back so quickly.Hunter and I are going with a homeschool group to Casa Manana tomorrow to see the Stinky Cheese Man play. We are ...
