Who is the nicest guy in the world (or at least Alabama?

It must be me! I went to visit Alabama FC camp Friday. It is the most beautiful of all the camps I've seen. On Lake Martin with lovely cabins set among the towering pines. Anyway, Amy Vavra (often known as Zarzar) needed to leave camp at 4 a.m. Sat. in order to get some of the camp friends to the Bham airport two hours north of camp. Then she would have to continue her travels and go south for a 9-10 hour drive to Tampa!! I graciously volunteered to take that burden away from her so she could be on her merry way to Tampa with the remaining camp friends. Now I am her hero and the story will soon be told in the gates of the camps all over this land! I am willing to accept all the thanks and praise I know I will be receiving from people like Janice Nowlin and Emily Davis. If you haven't gotten to know them, you should. They truly fit the description of the worthy woman in Proverbs 31.

RockLock and Lolzies

Everyone needs to get off their tail and sign up to go to the TexasRockLock the Fourth, aka TRL IV. You have until July 4th to do so.Perhaps you may think that you have been to enough events involving Christians hanging out and doing cool things? Maybe you went to WARBIS in 2004 or 2005? Maybe you have been to a Pleonast Bash? Maybe it was a NINE PARTY? Maybe you were at Barefoot in November? Maybe you used a thunderpot at Thunder over Louisville? Maybe you Romped to the Levee? Maybe you dressed up for an Auburn Halloween Party? Maybe you've been to the Singing at Kleinwood? Maybe you have ridden THE BEAST at King's Island in the front seat of the last car on the night that all of FC Ohio Camp is there? Maybe you went to the Passover Party in Bowling Green, KY in 2003 or 2004? Maybe you have been to a Memorial Day FC Friends concert? Maybe you've been to Higher Ground at the Smoky Mountains for a week? Maybe you went to a Bible study at Ryan Hasty's old house? Maybe you've hiked Moun...

Not a real update

I've found that having more money means you spend more money, give a little more away, and save a little more. Not much different from college except the junk around me now is about 20 years newer.Lk 16:10I just got a phone call from some counselors from Dry Creek Camp that really made my night. They wanted some help on pranking the camp friends. I'm not saying that I gave them any, but it was a very entertaining call. I wish them the best. You know what, this is a strange post, I'm just gonna open it up for questions.

Path of the Storm

Numerous tornadoes swept through AR, MS, AL, and TN late Tuesday night leaving much destruction and taking many lives. My hometown of Lafayette, TN was among the hardest hit with 14 deaths. President Bush is scheduled to visit Lafayette tomorrow to survey the damage and show some care. My mom was alone and in the hallway when the tornado came through. The damage done to our property includes a missing barnroof, barn doors imploded, damage to items in the barn that the doors took out, 5 uprooted pine trees(20-40ft tall), the columns on the front of the house are gone(not structural members), garage is missing some shingles. My mom is fine for which I'm most thankful. There is junk and trash from who knows where all over the fields and yard. The electricity and phone lines are supposed to be operational again on Friday. It is quite strange that such a huge event happened at home and I am not there. Hearing "Lafayette" mispronounced and seeing reports from Macon County on nat...

Eve of Rattlesnake RoundUp

This was overheard in a super loud shop yesterday from me and David between big business deals:David: you got a Wii?Will: Week till what?David: you got a Wii??Will: Week till what??David: You got a Wii???Will: Oh...no.Last Saturday, it was rainy and cold. Aaron Craig, my good buddy in Dothan, scheduled a paintball outing at 2pm. I wasn't that excited about it, I didn't want to chicken out, so I put on some old clothes and went to his house. He met me on the front porch in all camo holding a paintball gun. He pointed the gun at me and shot me in the shin from 20 feet away. Then he started laughing! I started yelling like a little girl asking him why the jack he did that. He said he shot everybody, pointing to a tree with paintball splotches. Did the paintballs go all the way through everybody else? AC did succeed in making me ready to play--I was gonna be looking for him on the field after that cheap shot!We went in the house and turned the corner to the kitchen and about 10 ...

Merry Christmas!

I put my Santa suit to good use last Friday night. I showed up at a party in Northern Alabama at someone's house who I didn't know. I noticed a couple of familiar faces accepting a party invitation on facebook, so I figured it would be the perfect time to inauguarate the suit. My goals were two-fold: not get shot and keep my identity hidden. I was 1/2. I arrived one hour after starting time to a ginormous house. I rang the doorbell and the hostess and John Claxton came to the door. John immediately exclaimed, "Will!" The hostess introduced herself and seemed pretty excited that Santa stopped by the party. I had a bag of tricks and treats. I gave candy canes to those who've been nice and charcoal in ziplock bags to the naughty boys and girls. It was hilarious! I stayed at the party for two hours and never took off the beard! Merry Christmas everyone!

Stream of nonsense

Life. Wow. It just keeps moving on. People move in and out. Days and weeks don't seem to last as long. August, did that even happen? Everything is exciting, but only when God is given glory is anything fulfilling. I'm going to the Florida-Tennessee game on Saturday with my ladyfriend, two friends, and a cousin. I learned a lot about the pipe mill industry this week. I know a little more than I did last week, but still not enough for global domination. Stress can be stressful, but I'm gonna stick with Vertue on the tableland Pilgrim's Regress style and see what shakes out. Such as.
