The grades were posted today and I made a B on the final and a B for the class. Now I know it's not an A but I was happy since it was my first class back to college in 5 years! And I know I am on the right track, because I thoroughly enjoyed Human Anatomy more than the former business classes that I use to take. Next semester I am enrolled in college Algebra and Human Anatomy II. Why the algebra class? In order to get into the night Nursing program, you have to qualify by a point system. For example, a grade of C is 10 pts, B is 20 pts and A is 30 pts. Well, my Calculus grade from my bachelor's degree did transfer but I made a C in that course. So, I can take a lower level math, make an A in the class, and it will override the C. How cool is that? And definitely worth improving my chances for being accepted. It's a good place to go for lunch b/c their prices are cheap and employees get a 15% discount. Well, while I waiting in line, I saw a doctor coming and I happen to look down at the name on his badge. It said... William Dawson, M.D. Ha!!! So, of course, being in HR, I did confirm that we do employ Dr. William Dawson. I promptly sent him an email asking for the name back. (Just kidding!)
