Sorry this took so long.....

For those of you that have asked, Steve is still in pain. His back is pretty messed up. He is in therapy three times a week. He has some pretty cool scars though. He should be okay. He has an appointment with an orthopedic doctor on the 15th. We will see how that goes. He is back to work and trying to get in a groove again. His truck was indeed totalled. Even though the insurance company really low-balled us with a check, he was able to get a work van. God is good and faithful. We are so thankful that Steve is here with us. By looking at the truck and all the glass that he shattered with his body, we know that he is only here because God is not through with him on this earth yet.In other news, my baby is 3!!! Where has the time gone? We did a family celebration of sorts by heading to Chik-Fil-A for dinner (how much longer will we be able to get off that cheap?) and then came home to eat the cake that he and I made earlier that day. He also got a Big Wheel. Anyone remember those? Dadd...

Prayers

Steve was involved in an accident today. The initiator drove away. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. He received about 40 stitches in his arm, leg and head. He is pretty banged up and bruised. It is possible his truck will be declared as totalled. I am asking for your prayers. For Steve's health and recovery, for our finances, for our involvement with insurance companies, etc. As you know, I am a stay at home mom...Steve is the sole bread winner. This could potentially do some damage financially....but our God is bigger than it all. He has already had his hand in this. From the looks of Steve's truck and glass that was involved, he could have been taken from us. God is great and merciful and to be praised. So, please keep us in your prayers if you think of it.Thank you!

All Grown Up and Stuff

So, my little man is growing up. We have officially been in big boy underwear for almost a week now with NO accidents! I am so proud of him, yet it amazes me that 2 1/2 years have already gone by. I am so enjoying the little guy he is becoming. He has a great compassion for people, yet he is ALL BOY! :) He is so full of life. (sometimes a little too much for Mommy!) Korban has a smile that would make Ebenezer Scrooge grin! He is such a good baby. He is getting big too. He has a doctor appt. on Wednesday, so I will give official stats then. He is teething something fierce and is already talking up a storm. I may be doomed for unending sound in my home! :)We are off to the beach for the weekend. We haven't been on a "vacation" in over a year and a half and this will be our first getaway as a family of four. I intend to cherish every moment and take lots of pictures! :)

My little romantic at heart....

Okay, you are probably getting sick of these, but here is one more from tonight:We were at the beach and it was dark. The stars were shining brightly and it was beautiful.Mommy: "Kaeden, do you see those bright stars? Aren't they beautiful way up there in the sky?"Kaeden: "Oh, yes, Momma...I will pick one for you!" (Stretching as far as he can to get one for me.)That is probably one of the most romantic things ever said to me. My son wants to lasso a star for me....reference to "It's a Wonderful Life" and I indeed have a wonderful life blessed of the Lord! :)

Another Funny...

Mommy: "I love you, Kaeden"Kaeden: "I love you too...one!"Sometimes he just cracks me up. I have been low key today as I don't feel well. My fibromyalgia is kicking in big time.We have swim class today. Maybe the above student will refrain from his emotional outburst tonight. :) We have been 3 days in a row with no poo accidents! Wahoo! (That is what he says when he hears it plop in the potty....gross I know.)Korban is getting bigger by the day. Maybe I will truly figure out how to post pics on here!Have a wonderful day everyone!

Ninevah!

So, we have this huge water tower near our house that apparently looks like Ninevah. (The top resembles the top of the building structures from biblical times.) Every time we pass it Kaeden yells out that it is Ninevah. Today's conversation went something like this:Kaeden: "Look, Mommy, Ninevah!!!"Me: "Really?"Kaeden: "Yes, I want to go to Ninevah!"Me: "Why?"Kaeden matter of factly: "To play with Jonah!"I thought that was pretty hilarious. Especially since he felt that I should automatically know why one would want to go to Ninevah. :)

Quillian Update

To those of you that wondered.....no, my sweet little man didn't maintain that fever for a month! Still am not sure what it was, but it went away and he is on the go again!Well, we were able to have some family time this past weekend. Steve has not worked a weekend in a really long time. It was really nice to have him home and to have the help with the kids.Business is going better. Steve is getting more work in the historic districts, which he loves. He was even asked to speak at a seminar in August.I have been debating on whether or not to homeschool. Anyone want to shoot out any pros or cons, feel free.Korban turned three months old today! I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. He loves to smile and "talks" up a storm. He loves to be sung to and for people to call him cute. We get big smiles for those! :) He is also lifting himself up off the floor really well and he has the best facial expressions...they crack me up!Kaeden is doing well. He still loves m...

103.2

I am not a fan of that number being a temperature for anything, but am least excited about it being the temperature of my little man! Kaeden has no other symptoms. Please pray for him and that the baby doesn't get whatever it is. He just looks pitiful. I am not a fan of t.v., but he is watching 101 Dalmatians and laying on the couch as we speak! Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Mommy + Migraine + 2yr. Old + Infant= Recipe for a Disastrous Day!

Okay, so I realized how much of an IMPERFECT Mommy I am yesterday. I had a severe migraine. Let's just say that doesn't bring about great patience and exuberance in the child rearing department! I am sad to say that it was not a super pleasant day had by anyone! Today is sure to be better! In better news: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KORBAN!!! Yes, my baby is ONE MONTH old today! It has already been a month! That is so crazy to me! He is a wonderful baby. He has a pretty good sleep schedule giving me 3 hour spurts in the night. He is becoming more and more alert. He loves to cuddle. He also loves to be outside. He endured a long photo shoot with Mommy yesterday....I am sure it was only because we were outside. I tend to get carried away! :)This Sunday will be my first Mother's Day with two. I feel so blessed to have two amazing boys! I am so thankful that God is allowing me to spend time on this earth with them. Lastly, I am planning a baby shower for a friend of mine. If you have any ideas fo...
