I woke up this morning to find that my real father has suddenly disappeared again. He was gone for 5 years, then came back on Thanksgiving day and left sometime last night. So their were only 2 men in my life that were like fathers to me, My brother Lucas, who raised me since I was 13 and my grandfather who just passed away. Lucas had to go to the doctor to get his 6-month physical done for work and his girlfriend called Jimmy and he has testicle cancer. The doctors but him in the hospital so Ryan, Adam and I are leaving New York so I can be down there with him. Olivia said that the doctors think they caught the cancer in time but they may have to remove one of his testicles. No matter what, he will have to go through a bunch of chemotherapy and radiation and I was texting him a few minutes ago and he is scared because he watched my grandfather and grandmother suffer from cancer so please remember him in your prayers.

Coen, Stanley B. Sr., 59, of Queens, New York, formerly of Florence Ms., died Sunday December 28th, 2008 at home. Stanley was a retired middle school art teacher and a member of the New York church of Christ in Flushing, New York. Preceding him in his death was his father Joseph S.Coen; his wife Alberta M. (Spencer) Coen; 1 grandson Sean Miller, a daughter-in-law Elizabeth Coen and a son-in-law Isaac Miller. Surviving are sister, Mabel (May) Coen of Flushing NY; 2 Sons, Stanley Jr. and Michael both of Florence Ms.; a daughter Jamie Miller of Houston TX. 4 grandsons, James Coen and his wife Angela of Jackson Ms.; Lucas Coen of Florence Ms.; Jacob Coen of Queens NY (sons of Michael) and Tyler Miller of Houston TX. (Son of Jamie) 4 Granddaughters, Carly Coen and fiancé Craig of Augusta Me., Crystal Coen (daughters of Michael) and; Ashley Coen (daughter of Stanley) both of Florence Ms.; and Cameron Miller of Queens NY (daughter of Jamie). 1 great-granddaughter Alexis Coen (daughter of Carly) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 31st, 2008 from 2:00-4:00pm, and 7:00pm-9:00pm and then again on January 1st from 10:00am – 12:00pm and the funeral will follow at noon held by only close family and friend (no preacher). The services will be held at Astoria Funeral Home in Astoria-Queens, NY. He will be cremated and his ashes, along with his wife’s, will be divided evenly among their three children
