The Movie was great... 11-21-08 08:55am CST
vanessacoxSo glad to hear it...the Wall Street Journal ripped it apart!
karatemomI have to wait until tomorrow! :(
sarahsmileI don't know...I thought the music made it kind of weird and cheesy...but then again, the laughing teenagers might have increased the feel of cheesiness that I might not have felt had I watched it by myself. And what up with Jasper????
stylinmamaI'm getting mixed reviews from friends. Glad you liked it!

Twilight week 11-17-08 09:55am CST
I am so excited about Twilight coming out this week. I, with a group of friends, have tickets for the midnight showing Friday morning. We also had shirts made. Yes we are geeks, but we are fun geeks!

This past weekend Lori and I went to Christmas Village in Nashville. It was very fun. I had never been before and will know to plan my Christmas shopping around that next year....I got a lot of craft ideas I will have to try! We also went shopping at the Galleria and I found some great gifts...ALMOST DONE!! WHOO HOO!

I plan on wrapping all the presents I have now tonight and get them stored away, so there are not bags all over the place. It will be great to have wrapped presents to put under the tree once it goes up. I think we are going to put the tree up this weekend since we are not going to be home for Thanksgiving. The kids are very excited, but I told them it was against my religion to light it up until after Thanksgiving. I may get Ann to come and plug it in the day we return from Bama, so that it will be lit up for them. I do love this time of year and I can not wait for us to get through Thanksgiving and on to Christmas!

Two of my nieces turned 10 this week--that is hard for me to wrap my brain around...feel free to tell Clairey and Aleigha happy first Decade!
adamandjessesdadIt finally got cool enough here that I might be willing to think about Christmas :-) What is it about walking outside at night when it's 45° that makes you feel so cheery?
dixiechickI won't be going to the midnight showing, but I will probably see it this weekend; or, I'll wait until my sister comes home for Thanksgiving.
TheMrsCrabtreeI am so going to the midnight showing! I can't wait!
vanessacoxI decided I was to old for a midnight show when I have to take Nick to school the next morning...we're going with a group from Oldham Woods on Friday night.
runningjakeOh, I'm really excited to see Twilight too!
karatemomMy girlfriends and I have tickets for Saturday evening. We should've made shirts too! We still have time!
courtcraigI'm supposed to go on Saturday with some ladies. No shirts though. :)
friedajThis is a fun time of year, esp with little ones around. I just hate the cold weather.
sarahsmileI have friday 12:01 am tickets as well. So does my aunt in texas.
ukgranI guess I'll have to investigate this Twilight thing everyone's talking about! What's the 10 day thing all about? I'm really getting excited about X-mas, too!! Got Molly the stroller. Hope it's the one she liked!! I'll talk to you soon. Love you lots!!!

Do you think you could do anything for 10 days? Testing out that theory.
nornieWhat cha' doing?
sweettI think so, but if it was something having to do with food, probably not.
arsenalWell, not anything.
kerrieleeYes,i think so.
shanshanhmmmm...maybe depnds. What are you up too! :0
edi do lots of things for 10 days.
jedediahI can do whatever you can do for 10 days.
dancewithmeTotally depends on what it is. Ten days is a long time if it's something unpleasant!! :D
nontradishI hope this is not a trick question, but yeah, I think so.
vanessacoxMost things yes...painful things only if they don't have a drug to fix it!!
sarahsmilelike 24 hours a day for 10 days? Nothing else?
shanshanCan I get your email address? I need to send you our new cell #. Thanks!
squeakyThank you so much for the picture. I finally figured out how to print it off Phillips computer. I'm so afraid I'll mess his up. Grandma talks about your kids alot and I know she really loved them. It will mean so much to her to get the picture and know you send your love. Thank you so much. We crocheted till 9:30 tonight after a couple of games of skipbo. It's just great to be in the same room with her. I really miss her being in Louisville. One week a year is not enough even though we talk real often.
squeakyShe was excited that you sent the pictures. Simple things like that are always the best. This is our clean up day. Clean our bodies and the house. I have to do her hair in a little bit after she showers. I hope I can do a half way decent job. She doesn't want to wear a wig tomorrow. But she says you do what you have to do. She always looks so neat. I didn't tell you last night that you have the cutest kids. Great talking to you.
friedajNow you have made us all curious

Noah Jones was chosen as a soloist in his choir. I am so proud and he is so excited.

Michael Crichton passes away. 11-05-08 12:49pm CST
An interesting man with an interesting mind:

adamandjessesdadIt's a shame that people like him do not have more influence on us.
ambiguous_username:( Such a good writer. And unlike many science fiction dystopian authors, he actually knew his stuff and provided a mean to avert the coming disaster. I remember one of his books that detailed plans to ban gene patenting and such.
runningjakeThat's sad, I really enjoyed his books.
stylinmamaMy dad will be really disappointed. :(
karatemomI really like his books. That's sad.
edyeah, he was one of my favorites. 'Eaters of the Dead' has been a favorite of mine for a long time.
