Tomorrow is the big day, I have to vote, at one moment in time, I lean towards Obama and another minute I lean towards McCain. Is Obama a Muslim or not? I have heard some people of that faith say he is, I've heard Collin Powell endorse him but yet say he is a Muslim. I know there is religious freedom, but Muslims according to the Koran believe we are infidels and should be killed, so please someone get me straight on this before I have to cast my vote and my conscience tomorrow?
Personally, I wouldn't vote for someone that tries to stop bills that are written to stop live birth abortions from happening.
I wouldn't vote for someone that won't produce his birth certificate to prove that he's a native born American when there is much controversy regarding whether he was born in the U.S. or not.
I wouldn't vote for someone that is extremley socialistic in their views...wanting to redistribute the wealth...as HE sees fit.
I wouldn't vote for someone that wants to have universal health care in this country...another socialistic tendency. Just look at how Canadians have to pay 50% income tax so they can have universal health care!
I wouldn't vote for someone that is tied to the Muslims in ANY way, whether he is a Muslim himself or not.
I wouldn't vote for someone that wants to REWARD crimingals (illegal immigrants) by granting them driver's licenses.
I wouldn't vote for someone that votes AGAINST English as the official language of this country!
I wouldn't vote for someone that ridicules the Bible, taking passages out of context to make fun of it.
He's not a muslim. His father (whom he knew for 1 month) was a muslim. He's not a socialist. He's not a terrorist. Honestly, I believe he's one of the most "American" candidates we've had in a long time.
Here is a website that debunks the emails going around that claim Obama is a muslim: http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_barack_ob ama_muslim.htm (Please note that the first two sections are examples of the emails going around that say his is Muslim, so make sure you read all the way down).
Here is another one: http://blog.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2008/06/was_obama_a_muslim.html
Also, mainstream Muslims do not believe that the Koran teaches that all infidels should be killed. That is really only a VERY small percentage of Muslims, and is attributed to a misinterpretation of their scripture. Here is an article by a Muslim to explain: http://qa.sunnipath.com/issue_view.asp?HD=7&ID=980 1&CATE=1426
obama is not a muslim, he has several good plans on energy dependance and education. he is going to strive to improve our education and lessen the burden of the lower and middle class, which after eight years of the rich getting richer will be nice. look at their voting records and see for yourself. happy voting :)
Happy Birthday on your 32nd one. I have found much joy and strength through you both as a son and as a brother in Christ. Thank you for staying strong in the faith and becoming my teacher and example of a good strong heart. I love you very much and appreciate you so much more.
Thanks to each and everyone of you for praying for our little congregation in Bryson City. Walter Voce, a retired school teacher has bought a place in the Ela Campground, right down from our little church and has volunteered to be our preacher and teacher while he is up here, probably through October. Thanks again for all your prayers and thoughts.
Please help us. There is only 3 women left to attend Sunday morning services at our little church in Bryson City. Visitors as well as the brothers we had have all elected to go to Cherokee for the Sun morning services but they come back on Sun. eves as well as Wed. eves. We have been praying for the Lord to send us someone, we feel if we shut the doors to this little church it sends a message to the neighborhood that there is no one there. We feel we need to keep the Lord's church doors open. We are under the impression as long as we do not upsurp(?) men's authority we are scripturally okay in just us women attending and leading our own services. We have all been praying about this and have asked help from some of the neighboring churches. One church is sending two men to come and investigate our little church. Please pray for us, help us with some of your guidance and wisdom of the scriptures as its so very discouraging. Love to all in Christ.
Good news, great news, Jim is out of his pain. He went for accupuncture down in Alabama this past weekend and he is walking around smiling and so happy. Praise the Good Lord. It looks like he may not have to have surgery. He will be following up with the accupuncture in Asheville. Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts while he has been going through this difficult time in his life. This experience has brought him closer to God and closer to the rest of our little family here in Bryson City. Please continue to keep our little church of people in your prayers and thoughts.

Yeah...he's o.k. I think he was just having a rough day and overslept. He's been over here for the past few days though...When he comes back over I'll tell him to give you a call.
Cal is doing well. He and Julie have been keeping themselves pretty busy lately. :) His schedule varies day to day...so I never know when we'll see him. I'll be sure to have her pass along the message for him to call you the next time he's over. But don't worry...he's fine. :)
You're welcome for the posts! I thought you might enjoy the picture & video of your son. :-) He won't ever let me get a serious photo of him, but I'll keep trying!
